Was it? I dread to think what Moore would have done with the money.

He no doubt would have blocked sales of Curtis and Cole too.

Turning down a 1m+ only to keep the player on the bench? It’s a dreadful decision.

Get relegated and we won’t get getting that kind of money for him.

By poor decisions, which one do you mean ?

The turning down of an apparent one million pound bid, or the fact that he's sitting on the bench ?

Surely you sell or play him?

Reject the move and stick him on the bench is insane.

I mean, I'd be trying to find a way to make him, Byers and another to work.

We probably get half that amount selling him in L2.

I'm just trying to picture what Moore does with that 1m assuming he could spend it. And it doesn't seem great.

Can only imagine any interest for Walters now has cooled anyway.

Is it a fact that we turned down a million pounds bid for Walters? I would be amazed if that were true myself, just don't see it.   We aren't relying on bigdaveqpr, with his 7 followers, for this information surely.

Walters has to play a dozen games for the Vale before we even consider him to be good enough for us in league two, let alone a £million player. Shown nowhere near enough so far and does seem a bit of an issue player too, or he needs a new agent ?

We’re by no means brilliant but our points per game since the turn of the year, if we’d managed that over the course of the season, then we’d be right in the thick of a relegation scrap instead of being ten points adrift of one.

I agree with your point of view.

We have taken 7 points from our last 6 League games.

To stay up, we need to average 8 points from each set of 5 League games remaining.

There is plenty still to play for in this season, and we can still stay up.

Depends if you believe BigDaveQPR or not.

They made a bid in the summer window though and I believe Matt confirmed a 7 figure offer was rejected for Walters.

I may have missed it but i dont recall Matt saying that we turned down a 7 figure bid for walters in the summer,I remember a couple of people saying we had on here but not him?

Yes - I might be wrong, I went through the Valiant substack postings around the window and couldn't find a reference to it so I might be wrong there and getting a bit mixed up.

It’s not so much my point of view as an objective point. We’ve averaged slightly over a point since January and if we’d done that all season we’d be right in and amongst the teams on 32-33 points.

However I think we are too far behind the curve to not be relegated at the end of the season. The damage has been done.

Cant agree. I thought he was mustard in L2 last year and a big catalyst along with a few others for our improved performances and results from Jan onwards.

If we signed a midfielder with 0 goals and 0 assists this place would be in meltdown

Didn’t not understand a number of decisions that affect the team

Why do they insist on goal kicks all congregating in one third of the pitch on the half way line.

Why did Brady take Waine off, who was by far the best most dangerous Vale player on the pitch and had just hit bar with a shot

Why bring Hall back to boost the defence in the last minutes, when we need 3 points. Hall should have been on the halfway line ready for any clearance

Why settle for a point by bring another centre half on in injury time

The congregation on goal kicks is just getting ready for the inevitable throw in when Gauci puts it in the Lorne Street.

Time will tell. Has not even been considered for a run in the team so far this season.

Hope you are right.

In our position you HAVE GOT TO go for the 3 points no matter what imo,if we lose we lose but we lose having a right go at a team,as it stands now you might as well get no points having a crack at it than 1 point being defensive when you can still concede a goal being put under constant pressure

I agree we need wins not draws I was simply pointing out why he had made that substitution. perhaps he thought it was also his job to ensure we didn't lose to a late goal as well as trying to get the win. brown missed two decent chances at the other end either of which would have won us the game if they had gone in. What attacking substitution had he got left on the bench who you think would have been a better option to bring on and win us the game with about 3 minutes left?

Very true. He has struggled this term to make the step and I’ve said a number of times he doesn’t do enough once he’s drifted past a player with his passes but he’s the future. I would much rather watch him playing, gaining experience over Croasdale and Ojo who are both likely to be both gone at the end of the season.

For any stats / data nerds out there, here's some maps from the game:

Gauchi's pass map, as ever, very funny.

Lots of missed passes from Croasdale and Ojo, and shows that George Hall didn’t do much
