Just about to say the same. It’s a much of a muchness to me, no real guile, craft or pace in there.

Let's hope that we're both wrong. But I suspect we won't be! Fingers crossed 🤞

Re Hall it has been reported in Baggers newsletter DM has confirmed due to him having not a proper preseason they need to build volume for him or words to that effect. As of Thursday he said he needed another week so expect him to be ok for the next game with Mansfield.

Thanks for the additional info

Byers is on borrowed time for me. He is the highest earner at the club and is getting out performed by Walters who for some strange reason isn’t even in the squad today. Yet another decision that could end up costing Moore his job in a few weeks.

Gordan deserves his start, hasn’t really out a foot wrong whereas Headley has been poor defensively.

I hope Mitch is only out after that rib injury he seemed to get. I know his delivery isn’t always amazing but he gets up and down so well and gets us into positions we wouldn’t usually due to his work rate. Would rather him and John in the same side.

Be interesting to see where Walters is. How Byers starts over Ojo on current form is beyond me.

The only slight on Ojo last week was why the Hell he didn’t hack down Connolly. He was never getting a red there given the retreating defenders. Really poor that for me.

Oh yeah Headley not even in squad - shows how ridiculously large our squad is, I cant even remember who is missing - ooh no Walters either

GO GO Rauri Paton 💜💜💜😍😍❤️

The majority of managers are now guided by sports science etc and advised on minutes etc, that one isn't always on the manager

As for Heneghan,my guess is that's to guard against Magennis who is very good in the air and again obviously advised but DM has said that Hall wont be ready until the Mansfield game next weekend

You wouldn't have a natural striker alongside Cole?

I remember seeing Magennis playing at Charlton, getting a chorus of : you fat b*stard: from the Vale fans.

He scored 15 mins later & waved to the Vale fans.

Can someone explain to me why teams (including us) have goals next to the goals for warm ups?

Thats a strong side, against an Exeter side apparently lacking in confidence, it's time to stop the  talk about how well we are playing, how unlucky we've been and convert the performances into gaining points.

The excuses can only last for so long.

I think Byers is the luckiest player in the squad. He's not played as well as either Walters or Ojo in any game so far. Not too sure what Exeter's forward line is like. If they've got height Heneghan is the right call, if they are similar to Doncaster he struggles. Clark not at least on the bench is a big call.

C\n only have 7 on a bench and it has to be well balanced. Its a tough call every week and some favoured players will not make the bench

They sim for the centre goal then it goes into one either side.

They're not excuses. They're facts. But I agree we need to start winning soon before we get further adrift

Just hope Garrity is ready for this game. If yes then it looks ok

Its because we cant shoot on target - so by aiming by the second set of goals to the side, we should get some in between the real posts 👍👍👍😁🙈🙈😍💜

Methinks that's a midfield about to be overrun! I hope to eat my words and be proven wrong. But.........

Yep, since seeing our midfield line up I’ve lowered my expectations for today, just hope we can do enough in both penalty areas. It would be great to see Coles and Paton emerging as an effective partnership. C’mon Vale!
