Can’t win can he. Both Faal and Waine have missed easier chances this season.

It's not a question of can't win.  You don't seem capable of having a balanced view.  It was a tidy finish from a simple opportunity.  Nothing to do with other players, but finishing that doesn't make him Ronaldo.  He, and others, need to deliver consistently in order to be worthy of a place.  As I said earlier I hope that he bags 4-5 today.

Doesn't matter, Cole's was a relatively easy one last week. I couldnt care less its what they are paid to do as strikers shoot and score goals. Whether it's a 30 yarder or from 2 yards

I think that you are missing my point, and the context, but it doesn't matter that much.  For the record I did celebrate Cole's goal last week and Paton's today.  Vale players scoring goals makes me happy.

Put these to the sword and finish the game before half time

That's what we never seem to do, but hopefully we can today.

Someone needs to tell Bowers we're not playing Leyton Orient

Not missing anything, you were making light of someone scoring a goal however easy it was. Give the bloke some credit!

You're still missing it, by a mile.

Lincoln take lead at Burton, so we’re out of bottom four, c’mon Vale!

Live tables have been the source of far too much drama over the years.  I'll feel more comfortable if we are 6-0 up, or if we have won.  Being out of the bottom 4 at 5pm would be good psychologically though.

I'm not, he may need to deliver more consistently but the amount of chances Paton has had from the start doesn't really warrant a judgement either way on his ability. His actual goals to starts record isn’t that bad

That's at least the 3rd time that John has been done by that number 14. It was nearly 1-1 then if not for Gauci. Need to get a grip.

Dodgy at the back, great save, looks a really good keeper to me

Are you really gong to argue that you know what I'm thinking better than I do?  It was a tidy finish and I'm happy for him.  I'm glad he scored.  It's a good thing from my point of view.  I'm not judging.

If he scores double figures this year then that would be great.

I think that he needs to deliver more consistently, which you seem to agree with, and that was my point.

Overall pretty comfortable it feels like. One worry is Magennis is peeling off on Humphreys knowing he has no joy from Heneghan so just need to watch that if it becomes a pattern.

Ha ha, quite correct - as Reading equalise we’re back in!

Just waiting for them to score due to a defensive switch off.

Come on Vale please take one of these chances you keep making.
