Also - having seen the penalty back. How anyone can see that and say it’s not a penalty is either incredibly biased or deluded. Absolutely stonewall, just as we could see in the ground.

Where have you seen it back? I can only find the highlights and that doesn’t show anything clear enough? Is there a better view somewhere else?

Just watched the highlights. The penalty decision is ridiculous, what does the ref think happened there?? Stoke fans moaning about there’s, but that was as bad for me. Their goal was a shocker. Arguably a foul, nobody switched on to the quick throw, nobody picking up the big no 9 which arguably put off Rippers as he was obviously going for it and then how is the guy allowed to get the header?

Easy with hindsight, and I’ve been clambered for Rico to get game time, but that wasn’t a game for him. We needed players who can ruffle a few feathers, so really Tolaj would have been a better bet.

Need to also get Harper up to speed, we need some physicality in the middle of the park.

The run couldn’t go on forever but to surrender it in such a seemingly tame fashion is disappointing.

I see a similar game next week at Llrecombe, so we really need to think about our approach to avoid a similar outcome.

poor subs and tactics . injuries. bad day at the office. can pick from any of those 4. we have to move on quickly and respond and im sure we will.

onto morecambe!

Yeah, that’s probably the story tbh. Poor line-up, subs & tactics, poor individual performances & concentration at key moments, poor refereeing decisions and oppo’s that had done their homework, had some of their better players coming back and importantly stayed switched on.

Do you have a soft spot for Stoke? Just asking as you seem to mention them an awful lot mate 😅

Nathan Smith is garbage pal.

Move on. Just like he will in January.

Disrespectful. Sorry

I wish you could put minus figures on the players ratings but my word some poster need to calm down.

Poor game

Poor performance

Poor management ( subs & formation even more so listening to DM's interview about what he expected from the playing surface)

Poor ref

Chance to put it right next week at Morecambe and perhaps an opportunity in the cup for a few players to make a case to be starting.

He's extremely slow and extremely limited on the ball. He's everything people always moaned about Smith for but 10x worse.

If we're clinging on to a game, he's a good player to sub on just to head crosses away. Other than that he shouldn't be anywhere near the first team.

Have to disagree personally. He’s better on the ball than Smith (but still not great), better in the air. Yes he’s probably slightly slower but if he’s in the middle of the 3 that’s fine.

A very poor day all round. I just hope we get a decent response at Morecambe, they have had a few good results so unless we are at 100% then we could be in trouble. Yesterday was a bit of a wake up call.

Both very similar for me. Have different assets & faults but I see no reason why they shouldn’t both be playing some part over the season. Debrah & Hall haven’t set the world alight it’s a weird one. I’d hazard a guess that Smudge has told Moore how it is or the other way round & they haven’t seen eye to eye since. It’s a shame really. With Debrah, Heneghan, Smith & Hall we have 4 completely different defenders who should all be competing as nobody is streets ahead of any other. Not set on the same back line week in week out

When you have players who can score goals in your squad .

Why do we set up to just score the 1 .

Its so frustrating as I believe we have the players to net 3 or 4 weekly.

That's my last comment on this game as life is for living should have gone the gym and swim and not watched .

Always going be a loss eventually to 1 effort on target Gillingham was not how I envisaged it happening

So not too bothered more bothered about how went out cup in a game i would rank as more important

Let's enjoy our Sunday as we are Top of the league for at least a few more weeks .

Will we stay there not if negative set ups continue

In 12/13, after 15 games we had won 9, drawn 3, lost 3. 30 points. (a lesson from this season is after match 13 we went on a run of 2 wins in 9, and still went up).

In 21/22, after 15 games we had won 8, drawn 4, and lost 3. 28 points.

In 24/25, after 15 games we have won 9, drawn 3, lost, 3. 30 points.

Genuinely can't believe the response wasn't just 'we were on an excellent run which was inevitably going to end with a dodgy performance away to a top 10 side, and the players deserve appreciation for getting us into this position in the first place'. I've overreacted with the best of them over the years but last night seemingly takes the cake.

Let's be honest, a performance like today happens. We had the same performance at Accrington and got something out of it when we shouldn't. It is a difficult place to go to and Moore set out to win 1-0 as at MK & Notts County. Only issue is it didn't work yesterday.

We are a decent side as the League table shows but not that good to dominate teams as a very good side does. Garrity was a big miss as we lacked energy.

Even the great sides suffer setbacks. The important thing is to pick it up again at Morecambe, get the 3 points and yesterday will be forgotten.

Also, Sheff Weds in 22/23 when they finished with 98 points which, in any other normal season, would have been an easy 1st place:

After 15 games - won 9, drawn 3, lost 3. 30 points. Exact same record as us.
