Simple. We've just bought on a whole new team, three of them only arrived yesterday. Clearly Donny are a settled side playing well together.

We've got to have time for the team to settle - we're a handful of games in and it will come.

See. I wasnt asking if we had settled, i was asking what we were trying to do? What were our tactics? You seem to be just hoping that the players will sort it out for themselves.

And two of those three weren’t playing today, so thats a poor excuse to be honest.

We were sloppy, disjointed, no shape, pattern, cohesion, nobody knows their roles in this formation, nobody was willing to settle it down and take the game by the scruff of the neck, we take an age to move the ball through the thirds, and when we do it’s scrappy and chaotic. We have absolutely no identity as a side and we concede lots of cheap goals for fun.

Doncaster fans offered their critique on Moore’s style of football and it’s hard to disagree at the minute.

B-b-b-b-b-but we had one cleared off the line, though.

Our identity is straight from the Gareth Southgate manual

Nothing like Southgate, he had a plan, all be it boring and negative. I cannot see any plan from Moore.

It's clear that Moore sets us up to be hard to beat, "stay in games" which are his own words. But we're anything but. Imagine being Carol and you've given this utter wolly a big League Two budget this summer and you have him coming out with that uninspiring codswallop.

We're not the only team in the league with a load of new signings. Yes, even under Moore we will improve as the season goes on. But so will plenty of other teams. We've won one league game this season as of yet, against what was a really toothless Salford team. We're conceding goals all over the place against any decent sides, and take away the set-pieces, can barely score a goal.

Its dreadful and I'm bewildered that so many people seem to be absolutely okay with it.

Not ok with it. Just not ready to be quite as dramatic as you yet. Give it a few more games, then we’ll see.

Just how Carol has gone about past sackings.

And that she's invested a lot in DM.

Like a few posters have said and I agree

I just don't think he's the right man for the job , he's way too cautious with his tactics

What about him taking Wednesday down?

Clear favourites to win the division with a budget far bigger than anyone else.

Irrelevant anyway, he went to Huddersfield afterwards and did an awful job there, sacked, was never going to get another job in the Championship so needed to step down at least one division, no other club after him that I’m aware of and we give him a 5.5 year contract- stupid IMO, let’s just hope there is a release clause and he has already triggered it.

There will be a release clause, dunner worry 👍

Andy Crosby bored me to tears.

Darren Moore is the same.

Is it too much to ask for exciting football?
It’s not rocket science.

Even today, you look at a 3-2 scoreline and expect it had been an end to end classic.
For the most part it was dull as <ovf censored>.

Carol made a huge mistake in keeping Flitcroft on for as long as she did.
She won’t make the same mistake twice.
She simply can’t. We need to be challenging with this squad and anyone with their eyes open can see Moore isn’t the man.

Lads we were absolutely battered. We got back into it through a very dubious penalty.

You can't selectively take our close chances and ignore theirs, and say "well, if ours had gone in we would have won". They missed a fair share too.

The biggest problem is at no point did we control that game, or have any idea how to control it. The only time we looked vaguely threatening was non-league 'pump it to Stockley in the box'.

We need to adapt the way we play. Players are fine, the effort in terms of tackling etc is there which I haven’t seen for a couple of years. Our build up play is still out of the Crosby flitcroft manual. Doncaster for their third goal showed us how we should attack. We need to play faster and on the ground, hoofing in the air to a crowded area doesn’t work, likewise a long pass or hoof into an area where no one is and hoping our players are a, fast enough, b, arsed to get it doesn’t work. Change it and we will start winning I’m sure. For the first 75 mins the game was turgid and forgettable. Play stockley with Paton, stockley wins everything in the air, we need him to be doing more than 30 mins, the last 2 games Paton has looked furious when he’s been subbed - keep him on and give him a partner to feed him. .

I'll be absolutely blunt and say that there's a very fair argument that we sack Moore soon and get Pete Wild in. That was that bad.

Just a manager that has a connection with the fans would be a start.

I see no personality and connection with Moore whatsoever.
Which is ok if we are playing bad and winning. But we’re playing dreadful and getting battered. In league <ovf censored> two.

That defending was atrocious.

Hall and Heneghan are so so slow and Hart isn’t much quicker.

So slow all over the pitch apart from BBB and maybe Edwards.

You have to have a mix of pace, strength and a pattern of play but we simply don’t appear to have any of them.

Yeah. Desperate hoof ball with Stockley as a target man was way more effective than whatever Plan A was supposed to be.

I also thought Stockley was pretty crap. Reminds me of late-era Tom Pope. Can barely move.

We had one decent wingback in Clark and he’ll probably never play at 100% fitness for the club again, if he ever has. Sang, enough said. Henny and Hall are so slow it’s unreal, maybe even Lowe can outrun them. Debrah and Jones no better. Smith needed back urgently because despite his faults he’s a decent CB in L2.  Hart and John are only going to ever give basic level function, and even that will take ages to come because the formation is baffling. Lomax and Shorrock are young and should be integrated gradually. Cover will needs to be decent otherwise we’re completely vulnerable all across the back line. How many’s that? 13 odd players. Why oh why can’t we have 6/7 decent rather than 100 who battle to be least awful?
