Some….i never wanted him in the first place, can’t understand why we gave someone a 5 year contract after how they performed at Huddersfield.

Well opinions change, sometimes for the good, sometimes not. I was all for giving Moore a go after Crosby but he's been an absolute failure so far, with little signs of anything improving.

If we win the next 5 games I'll be one of the first here to say fair play.

You're not wrong, I just don't want him to receive 100% of the blame when the individual performances from our defenders have been shockingly bad. Heneghan has bricks on the bottom of his legs

Surely there's mortar him than that....

This is a new team and some players are not match sharp. This will probably buy him some time and that's why ten games is a reasonable assessment point.

HOWEVER, his stats at Huddersfield and Vale do not fill me full of confidence: P46, W7, D16, L23. Win rate: 15.2%.

He simply has to get this team going or be honest with himself and come to the conclusion he is not the man for the job.

Anything less than 20% is absolutely abysmal. If he's aware of that record, and he should be, he really should be looking in the mirror and asking himself some serious questions.

Don't think Moore is going anywhere yet folks!

Agree that the signs are not good but he's not going anywhere!

But he has managed to cement his place in the team 🫣😁

If he loses the next game, surely 4 points from the opening 15 after being backed to the hilt all summer could be seen as sackable? I don't believe for a moment Carol can be as daft as she was last season and just let things slide, and the season seen as a write off.

There’s not wide open spaces anymore, since we narrowed the pitch again.

Well that really shows how bad we are then, because the guy had acres to cross for the 2nd.

No, I don't think it is. It's too early in the season, for him to be sacked.

However, he needs to decide quickly on how he's going to get the best out of the players he's signed. There's too many formations, tactics not suiting the players etc. But 4/5/6 games in, I just can't see Carol getting rid that early.

Even 2-3 massively flattered us.

I'm not sure about this 3-2 massively flattering us theme. 1 each was fair at half time. I honestly expected us to go on & win the game.

We obviously had a terrible start to the 2nd half & then they've hit us on the break with a superb through ball & finish to go 3-1. They basically had 4 clear cut chances & 3 of them ended up in the net.

We had chances of our own. Hall has to score his header to make it 2-2. It was a sitter. Stockley off the line & then peppered away for the final 10 mins searching for an equaliser. Their defender heads Benicios cross straight at his own keeper.

I'm not saying we deserved to win, but ppl saying it could've been 5 or 6 are off their heads. On another day we take a point despite not playing well.

PS. Watch the highlights back on Sky. Their first goal is just a really good goal. The ball from Sharp is brilliant, as is the finish. The 2nd goal is very sloppy & the 3rd we're pushing for an equaliser & their lad has hit an inch perfect pass in behind us, another good finish as well.

When Byers is up and running we’ll have some drive and control in the centre, the kind which Arblaster gave us. My worry is he knows he’s crocked long term and that’s why he’s here at all, so we’ll never see his form from previous clubs. Croasdale, Stockley and BBB played well second half. I know Curtis was off it today but he’s a starter when the team gels.

So I think it's 23 games under Moore and my question is what is our footballing identity ?  Vale have always played best with the ball on the grass not in the air.  Today (again) hoof it and hope and usually 2nd to every ball.  The football is dire, is this how Darren Moore prefers to play the game ?  Is this what we have to look forward to ?

Positives- "multifunctional group that we've got!"
Win ratio = 17%
(25% for L2 this season)
On to Newport away...
Doncaster looked a decent side. Organised, hard-working throughout each of the 98 minutes played, sharp up front! Decent away support for a match that was on the telly. Some good songs about Darren Moore!
Hope he can turn it around and prove many people wrong, including me!

I was surprised at the Donny fans taunting DM like they were. I thought he did well there? Whatever, they clearly remember him!

Spoke to some of their fans before the game. They hate him. I have a West Brom fan as a mate. He really dislikes him.

But nothing is likely to change though. If we give him 20 games it's very likely that by then we will have just completely wasted the season. We have some good players, regardless of Moore, so we will win games here and there. But if you're not fooled by the score-line today, getting battered by Barrow and Doncaster should not be deemed as acceptable in any shape or form.

Give over. They were miles better, especially in attack.
