We had one decent wingback in Clark and he’ll probably never play at 100% fitness for the club again, if he ever has. Sang, enough said. Henny and Hall are so slow it’s unreal, maybe even Lowe can outrun them. Debrah and Jones no better. Smith needed back urgently because despite his faults he’s a decent CB in L2.  Hart and John are only going to ever give basic level function, and even that will take ages to come because the formation is baffling. Lomax and Shorrock are young and should be integrated gradually. Cover will needs to be decent otherwise we’re completely vulnerable all across the back line. How many’s that? 13 odd players. Why oh why can’t we have 6/7 decent rather than 100 who battle to be least awful?

Agree with most of that. If you intend to play with three centre halves the wingbacks are crucial. As could be seen today, this system is susceptible when balls are played wide, outside the centre halves. To combat this either the back three need to be quick - they aren’t - or the wingbacks need to be constantly up and down the line - they aren’t - otherwise you are in trouble.
Some of our general play was ok today but seven goals in two games tell you were the problem lies.

Just play 4-4-2 at home and give it a go. We're conceding goals anyway so we might aswell just try to score more goals than the opposition. Stockley and either Paton or Tolaj up top. Byers and Croasdale in the middle. Chislett cutting in from out wide, and some pace on the other flank in Benicio or Edwards. That formation with those players would trouble anyone in League Two.

Where does Garrity play?

In a two man midfield, he doesn't. Croasdale is better defensively and Byers a better footballer.

He was a nuisance at least. I think their defenders disliked playing against him more than Paton.

For me, we either have to play a Clarke style 3-5-2 with no Curtis, or an Askey style 4-3-3 with one centre forward and two orthodox wingers. Someone will have to sit on the bench.

I would go 352

Ripley
Smith  Hennigan Hall

John  Crosdale Ben G  Byers Hart

Stockley Pation

play it on the floor not pumping it up pope ball style

The more you post the worse you make it.

Based on?

I’d lean towards a 4-3-3 with Croasdale in the Luke Joyce role ;  Curtis and Chislett/Benny either side of a number 9.

Smith has to come into the equation whatever his detractors say.

Defensively we are toss. And I'm very anti Debrah and he wasn't even on today.

One change I would like to see is in goal.

I think Amos should be give a run of games to see if he can make better decisions than Ripley.
