Match thread: Salford City v Port Vale, 10th August

Cant stand this ground. Like a Lego kit that could be taken down and put up anywhere. Anyway, there’s nothing like the feeling for the opening game of the season!
I wasn't talking about me. [emoji16]

Just keep it below 7-0 and we’re off to a better start than last season….

I in fact reckon we win 2-1. Up by two and cruising, then give an 80th minute goal to Salford and then in a total plot twist…. comfortably close out the match for a win

We are Vale, super Vaaale
Lets go lads, this is it
Get at em, lets gooooo [emoji123]

I think i can say in confidence whatever happens today it cant be worse than last year

Anybody got a spare standing ticket going spare?

I don't think Salford will be up to much. 0-0.

We won’t be winning the league if we win.

We won’t be National league if we lose.

Reassuring!

If Rochdale can put five past Salford so can Vale

Anyone who has been to the Peninsula stadium before, does the standing section of the away end have a roof?

Also, where’s everyone heading for the pre match pint?

Been practicing your booing in the mirror? Ready for that first back pass, misplaced pass or sub that we don’t like.

From pictures looks very similar to the Pirelli (Burton) and a few other clubs that have only been league clubs in their recent (last 15/20 years) history and built identikit stadia to meet league standards (Accrington, Fleetwood, Stevenage etc).

Yes 👍

Just a public health warning to anyone going to the game today….…

…… make sure you have a really strong pair of sunglasses / protective goggles with you as I think we’re wearing the new away kit!
