How I think Moore lines up…

                          Ripley

    Sang     Heneghan   Hall     Hart

                Croasdale    Ojo

           Chiz      Garrity     Curtis

                          Paton

Subs,, Amos. John. Debrah. Plant. BBB. Dipepa. Tolaj

Smith, Byers & Stockley possibly back for Tranmere & we’re looking very strong 👊🏻 Unless any of them are ready for the bench now which would be great!

Gwaaaaaaaaaaarn Vale!!!

No idea what the side will be today. I do suspect Tom Sang will start with John on the bench. It's a new season and a lower league, so hopefully a fresh start for the player. He'd not really had a lot of first team football prior to last season and some of it was at a lower level than league 1. I'm sure the coaching staff will have looked at what he needs to improve and the player himself knows he has this season to secure his future as a professional footballer.  Mitch's injury is a massive opportunity for him. Let's hope he takes it. Defending is something players can improve.  Watch kids play in the park and their natural instincts are to try to play like Messi. One thing he can't improve is his lack of pace. That's a big problem for a wingback but there are plenty of good fullbacks who aren't that quick. As things have panned out this is perhaps the best opportunity Sang could have hoped for in terms of both the new formation which perhaps suits him and injuries to a player who would have started.

Though the announcement was at 5 yesterday for John, was he signed before noon? Sorry if his eligibility was in the details of the announcement (which I haven’t seen), but a player has to be signed by noon the day before they are eligible to play.

I don’t think it would have been announced until Monday if he didn’t have a part to play today or make the bench. Don’t see the point otherwise, imagine it was signed & sealed before the deadline. Bit strange if it wasn’t

Jones has been injured as usual

ironically I have slept on this ground before it was a football ground as I lived nearby when at university and last time I went, if I remember rightly it wasn’t very impressive at all

I am not going today but hope for a good result to start the season

Don’t mean to hijack the thread but I’m buying a ticket for myself and my lad as we’re coming down from Leeds for the first home game of season and just wondered where the best place for him to experience his first Vale game will be.
I can’t decide between the Hamil Road and Paddock. Hes 10 so would like him in and around some of the atmosphere.

Buzzing for today, all im going to say is, UP THE <ovf censored> VALE

The first opening away day I’ve been for some time and my first time at the Peninsula today.  Not expecting to see Kyle John (as I posted earlier) but looking forward to seeing whichever of our new signings are selected and how our players from last season perform with arguably better players around them and against ‘weaker’ opponents than we faced last year (assuming players in L2 aren’t as good as those in L1).

You know what I'd love today .

A Sang assisted winner preferably DJones heading it in .

Good luck Vale

Been practicing your booing in the mirror? Ready for that first back pass, misplaced pass or sub that we don’t like.

Cant stand this ground. Like a Lego kit that could be taken down and put up anywhere. Anyway, there’s nothing like the feeling for the opening game of the season!
