Are Vale in that? It’s either Vale or no football as far as I am concerned. If there are people out there comfortable with Vale being in league 2 for years on end, good luck to you, but I think the club wants more than that. 

Doubt Edward’s is a replacement for Chis, very different type of player and raw. Would assume as we’ve looked at him he is back up for Curtis, someone to chuck on late against tired legs, we’ve taken a close interest all summer in him.

if we sold Chislett I’d expect us to be looking for much more proven replacements.

I don't think Chis or Garritty will move before the window closes. There's a chance Chis might move in January with his contract coming up if we get offered a decent fee. We don't need to sell though. I'd imagine Garrity might get an extension very shortly. Club captain & is fast becoming our talisman.

26 isn’t old either it’s probably the perfect age for a footballer to be fair. Agreed he’s not worth anywhere near 1.5 mill [emoji23] without doubt our most creative player though & for that alone I wouldn’t take anything less than 500k. Really hope Chizzy isn’t going anywhere to be honest 

I can't even see anyone offering more than £250k. He's had 1 Season in L1, and went missing in alot of games.

I agree with that fee, he’s had 3 seasons at league 1 level. His 2 with Wimbledon weren’t anything special though but last seasons return with us was pretty decent for a relegated side in 9 goals & 7 assists. Attacking midfielders do tend to go missing & drift in & out of games it’s quite common for players in that position. I was just saying that’s what I’d be holding out for myself not what I think he’s worth 

Maybe we are all overthinking it.

BBB doesn't play the same position as Edwards so I doubt it was ever one or the other. BBB is an out and out winger where as Edwards is a 10 from what I can tell from my rudimentary Google search.

Maybe Edwards is just coming as back-up/competition for chis? We got a few players who can play that position without it being their best position. Garrity for example is best at that box to box, arriving late in the box role rather than an out and out 10.

We could be putting 2 and 2 together and getting the wrong answer that Chis is on his way out. I hope that's the case anyway as he's a great asset to us.

The above being said if he's made indications that he's not gonna sign a new deal and wants to explore his options, now's the time to sell while we can get some decent coin for him.

For the transfer fee we’d likely get I’d keep hold of him and hopefully play a part in getting us promoted. If he still wants to go after that then he’s out of contract. I wouldn’t be selling one of our best players this late into the window.

Not in a million years will we get anywhere near 1.5m for him,my guess would be around the 300k mark if we are lucky and if we are selling him of course

If a club came in with daft money obviously there is barely a club in the EFL which wouldn’t sell in them circumstances. That said it seems that a lot of people are putting 2+2 together and coming up with 5 when it comes to Chizzy.

My guess if we see anyone go out it might be Planty on loan as I’m guessing this might push him down the pecking order so better for him to get some first team experience elsewhere.

I will say what i have said previously,I actually aren't concerned at all if we do sell a player because it now seems like we are in a position to spend to replace them no matter who it is and after this summers recruitment i am confident that would be with the right person

He should certainly be by far the hardest player we have and if he sparkles too, all the better. 😉
