13 summer signings is only just behind Morecambe for number of players brought in.

Hmm interesting that’s a permanent deal. Wasn’t expecting that. Only saw Edwards in a friendly at Castle Town and certainly had some skill even if he came across a little too in love with trying little flicks etc. Him and Benicio on together could be real fun.

Wow i assumed this was a loan, this season has been so impressive from the owners cant fault the effort from a league 2 side what so ever, fantastic, carols really forked out.

This to me means one of the younger lads will definitely be loaned out. Surprised it’s permanent. Putting quite a squad together. Surely we’re done now? Unless a player too good becomes available

Me neither. This is what their youth manager said about him a while ago

 “Diamond missed the majority of the season through injury. But since he's come back into the team, he's scored some fantastic goals and he's definitely a player that will get the fans off their seats.

“'He's an excellent dribbler. And yeah, he can work a shot and can score goals and create goals. He also runs really hard for the team.”

Baggers went on to say in his newsletter today

Edwards suffered an ACL injury in September 2022 that kept him out for the rest of that season but he returned to feature for the under-21s in 2023/24.

He’s under contract until next summer having signed a two-and-a-half year contract extension in November 2022, shortly after making his first team debut against Cambridge in the Carabao Cup

Nov 22 + 2.5 years would be Summer 25 so the dates line up and suggest it isn't a typo. Giving a player a long extension just weeks after they do their ACL in tells me they rated him a lot to be worth taking that massive risk on? I'd imagine there's a decent sell on % in our transfer bid.

I'd like one more full back to cover Mitch. Couple out on deadline day (permanently) to secure it hopefully. Can't see him getting up to speed this side of Christmas.

This looks like a good signing, but unless I'm reading it wrong, plays in the same positions as BBB.

I think we are really well stocked in attacking positions now. Would like to see Plant or Shorrock go out on loan to develop.

We've not really had a player go out on loan, have a stormer and come back better for it since Smith at Torquay all those years ago. Something we need to start doing now we have such a strong starting 11 and bench.

I keep forgetting about Mitch, unless Moore sees it as Sang and then John. I can see Plant and Shorrock leaving and I’m still not convinced we will keep everyone we want to 

No messing here. He’s after winning the league. I like him already.

Transfermarkt have him down primarily as a #10/CAM, that's where most of his appearances have supposedly been, but in his S'ton career has also played RW, then CM, then LW RM and even CF once. As I understand it, he lined up as a RW for us in pre-season.

BBB is supposedly primarily a LW and has played there 11 times, RW 12 times (hence supposedly primarily LW. He's left footed) and LM/CAM once each.

BBB's looked dangerous so far, if Edwards is as fast and direct then all the clodhoppers of L2's back lines are going to be playing through tears.
