Is that rule that a club can bring back players out on loan for FLT games still in place (e.g. in previous seasons we had the likes of Plant/McDermott) coming in for those games even though they were on loan to non-league sides).

If it is, then there's no need to wait till January to get some of the kids loaned out.

However, I suspect it will be later on, towards the end of the window, as non-league clubs are probably still looking for permanent targets at the moment. I think they'll start to look for loans if/when they miss out on any permanent deals - so any Vale loan exits will be towards the end of this window.

I’m not thinking about the rule, more squad numbers. You need more players in the 1st half of the season with cup competitions, plus I personally think it’s better to keep young lads in and around our own 1st team  to learn the mentality required and you improve quicker playing with from better players. A loan is a case of now go show it under pressure and in a physical football environment.

You would think he is being offered something then wouldn't you especially if he is still training,is he the only other trialist training with us now MBE?

A left footed CB as well,so that could go in his favour plus him being 20

I didn’t see anyone else training with us who was unsigned or unrecognised but that’s not to say I didn’t miss someone😀

Speaking of transfers and it's going till end of August .

How much do folk feel Chislett is worth .

For me a player who scores and assists 1.5 million .

Hope he ain't being sold for a penny less

Where have you seen he is being transferred?

It depends on a) the contract length and b) the player's desire to stay

I'm not saying this would be the case with Chislett but if in December he makes it clear he wants to leave and his contract expires at the end of this season then you would not get anything like £1.5m for him.

Surely that would depend on him many were bidding for him?

Not really. I reckon even a bidding war wouldn't get near to 1.5m for a player approaching the end of his contract and wanting to leave. Hopefully with Ethan it's a moot point anyhow.

Issue is even if say we agreed to let them go to a club what's to say the player would want to go there? Ultimately they're under contract here and they're well within their rights to refuse to go. If any do depart my guess is it will be late on transfer deadline day now if some other club gets desperate with injuries. Otherwise at least for the National League I don't think the transfer window applies to them so they can go any time really if to that league.

I would be very surprised if any professional footballer whose contract is up in the summer would turn down a move in january if the club told them they wouldn't be getting a further contract here I would also be surprised if any would stay at a club where they aren't getting game time remember benning as soon as ac old him he wouldnt be getting kmuch game time he was off. Their agents will usually find them a club if they need one.

I haven't and I hope he stays with us but he is a very talented player and sure to have someone asking about him if GVille is right that Moore isn't finding him is cup of tea (word of phrase  ).

I hope he stays scores 15 assists 30 .

Signs a new contract and remains here forever

Don’t shoot the messenger, but I did hear at the game on Saturday that Mansfield had made a substantial/considerable offer for Chizzy but I’ve not seen anything on social or mainstream media etc. Probably just pub talk and a conspiracy theory propagated by his absence on Saturday all prior to DM saying he had fluid on his knee so wasn’t being risked. Can’t wait for the end of August when all this transfer speculation about players we want to keep comes to an end and our only concern then is getting the right combinations of our top talent on the pitch.

Based on bookies off we could swap with Mansfield come May so not sure how appealing that would be for Chissy.

No way we would get 1.5m for him. If we got 500k I'd snap there hands off...i like him a lot but hes in the last year of his deal and at 26, he isn't young. I don't want to sell him, but hes not a 1.5m player, no where near.
