Whoever it is, they still have no strikers!

Exactly, yeah AC has gone.  What can a new manager make a squad, with all these injuries and players playing out of position do?

We have tried 2 up top with what we have? Still does not work.

19 games to try and change the way we play is a recipe or not?

Hopefully the youth team, players like Shorrock, Plant, Walters etc can show that we are not stuck in a formation.

I would give them a go, play some attacking football.

Otherwise all that wanted AC to go, what is the difference?

He's gone.

Flitcroft next.

Thanks for the promotion year Andy. Not a bad bloke, just not up to it.

that wont happen til at least the end of the season. by then itll be too late with this lot. shambles from top to bottom and crosby shouldve gone after lincoln.  tomorrow we really need to get behind the lads now theyll need us more than ever. i still think we will go down with the current lot unless we can get a striker in urgently.

David Dunn will get the job till theend of the season and will then get the job full time once relegated. Rinse and repeat. I’ve got no confidence in them getting this right.

Dunn. The new Danny Pugh.

Needed to happen albeit I am disappointed for a man who served the club so well during the first two years here and always came across as a decent bloke.

What I don’t understand is how the Director of Football can be responsible for everything that touches the grass, have 3 awful transfer windows, oversee back to back relegation fights (both from promising early season form) and 2 managerial sackings and seemingly remain in place to pick the next manager.

I suppose it could be argued that he got one choice right and one wrong. That we are in a league above when he started. That we’ve developed a lot of our own players in that time that’s brought money in. That we developed relationships with too clubs that’s brought in talent like blaster, Devine and gore that previously we would only have dreamt about. On the other hand sacking a manager four days after a shambolic window isn’t a good look. He needs to get this one right xx

Good luck to whoever takes over, you still have to work with Flitcrofts signings, sorry, lack of signings. Hopefully AC finds a job more suiting to him very quickly, I think with a bit. Ore experience and backing he could become a decent manager.

Very glad he’s gone, but far, far too late. I’ve wanted him gone since Cheltenham as it was abundantly clear he was not fit for management. We’ve wasted so many games. But at least we have a chance of survival now.

What I will say is what a shame it’s come to this. Seems a nice guy and he was integral in our promotion. But he never should’ve got the job in the first place.

You can't make a decision that a lot of fans saw as very risky, or outright stupid, then realise 6 months after them that it was indeed risky/stupid, and expect to keep your job.

I don't get paid to make decisions and I saw this wasn't a good appointment. If a pleb like me can see it a mile off, our DoF should never have gone near it.

The farce of giving a man who was assistant to a sacked manager the job may set this club back years.

Cheap option could cost us thousands of we go down.
