  1. I couldnt imagine Uche or loft finishing like that for their goal.
  2. ive been very negative about Moore so far, but there was a lot to be positive about from that. I thought his answer about his coaching team was really good. Though Im still not sure about what his vision for how he wants us to play is. Maybe he should have answered that later, because he got better with his answers as it progressed.
  3. Jesus wept im reading people arguing that we should resign uche. I give up. Even if he had double the amount of goals, and scored twice, I still wouldnt want him because he cant play a full 90 minutes. There’s no excuse for that. It’s your job. Id also question what the management team was doing allowing that. Im constantly hearing people claim that ‘we cant blame Moore because even pep couldnt get a tune out of these players’, but ill tell you for sure, pep wouldnt be having someone with uches fitness anywhere near his squad, no matter what level he was managing at.
  4. If he was a top earner in league 1 it’s highly likely he will be our highest earning striker in league 2. He won’t be fourth choice.
  5. Offering a contract to a striker who scores one goal a season and cant be bothered to get fit enough to play a full 90 mins despite being a professional footballer is a disgrace. The retained list makes me grateful for relegation. Imagine knowing we would have another season in league 1 with those players under contract. We’d be down by Christmas this time.
  6. Funny thing is, that goal has made things much harder for Crewe. Now they will play Doncaster over two legs, who are the league most in from team.
  7. THats what i meant by cant play 90 mins. There’s no excuse for it, and needs to be gone. I sometimes go on to opposition fans message board so many of them that laugh at how bad he is. But so many of our fans think he’s great. At first i thought they were having a bit of a laugh to keep spirits up but many actually rate him.
  8. A striker who is a top wage earner but cant shoot, cant score and cant play 90 minutes. Would be absolute insanity to offer him a contract, and an early warning that Darren Moore hasnt got the ‘contacts’ some here are hoping.
  9. Does that mean we are signing weir? God help us, but why else play him. Is grant injured or done. Ojo on the bench too.
  10. He has had a chance was was rubbish there. And at other times we’ve desperately needed another midfielder and he hasnt been trusted there. If we are going into next season with the idea that sang will be one of our centre mids then we are in trouble.
  11. You dont think he will be getting far more than Crosby? We were willing to pay more to get an improvement. We havent seen one.
  12. This whole ‘we cant blame moore’ and ‘even pep couldnt have done better with this lot’ is just ridiculous. If thats the case, why did sack a manager and replace him with Moore on triple his wages and a five year deal? If any manager could make a difference, why waste the money? Truth is, we spent all that money and we wouldnt be worse off if we had left the academy lads in charge, and id hazard a guess wed probably be better off. He was paid to come in and do a job, and he failed miserably. It looks like he will have a chance to rectify things next season. Im not overly confident in his ability to do so, but hopefully we will have a budget to make that easier, because he doesnt have a record of being a miracle worker with small budgets.
  13. THere is no scenario where uche should stay. Not only a horrific striker who never scores (being better than lot isnt the bar we should be using), but he cant play 90 minutes. While it’s rumoured he is our highest, or one of, earners. One of the first out of the door.
  14. The problem is though, that both managers have chosen not to trust him in midfield when we had rightbacks fit. Even Lowe, whos a right back was chosen to play there instead of him. And from what ive seen of him, I can see why. The opposite would stroll straight through us.
  15. How on earth is sang and debrah not on the list. Both atrocious. Stick the manger on there too. The only ones id want to keep will probably leave.
  16. I dont rate him, though maybe he will be better in league 2. If i was to compare him to defenders we had in league 2, i would say he was more of an Aaron martin than a Connor hall. Im open minded about cass. i was pleased when he signed but he didnt quite make the grade in league 1. Is he still in contract?
  17. While Ojo would be good in league 2, his attitude absolutely stinks. He’s downed tools two seasons in a row now, and can do one as far as im concerned. What’s more worrying is how many people would keep sang. The only defender i would keep through choice is smith, as hes proven at league 2 level and Clarke if he can stay fit. The rest are genuinely atrocious.
  18. Sang would be the first one out of the door. Not only is he not a footballer, he’s also blowing out of his arse after 60 minutes.
  19. On the positive side. If we stayed up, we’d just be in another <ovf censored> show of a season because we will be stuck with a bunch of players not good enough for league one for another year.
  20. This question could be flipped. Would we have done worse if we hadn’t have employed a new manager and stayed with the academy team. I don’t think we would be worse off at all.
  21. If what was posted here was close to true, then he was on a good wage. Otherwise our budget is below every other team in the league by far, and we know that’s not true. And if we had out his and lofts money together, we could have afforded a top league 1 striker easily.
  22. We also had by far the easiest run in, playing teams below us. But we ended up losing those, sometimes in catastrophic fashion. I’ve always argued that managers need time, but I had massive concerns after e first game and hearing him speak. Maybe I was biased because I wanted a young, ambitious manager who had tactical ideas of how we could be improved within the structure and budget of the club. Look at Portsmouth as an example. Manager of the year but our fans would have been up in arms at bringing in someone who hasn’t managed before. We had it on here with people saying they didn’t want coaches they wanted a manager. Unfortunately to get such an appointment correct, you have to interview and go through a recruitment process. And for all the ‘trust the process’ nonsense, our leaders revelled in not following one. We know Portsmouth interview a number of candidates as Clarke went for the job. It’s not rocket science, but they do have a competent DoF. Again, we have many here saying we don’t need one. We absolutely do, we just need a good one.
  23. Uche is far from cheap. He’s a top earner while being a striker who can’t shoot.
  24. It’s rather impressive we could make an appointment that would make fans pine for the days of andy Crosby.
