Sacking Crosby would be pointless. We were winning with fewer injuries and a settled side. Now we have 2nd stringers forced to fill those gaps and play out of position, competing recently with some of the league's biggest budgets.

I wunna be going again until we start scoring goals or at least attacking. Bloody bore fest. After Crosbys interview today looks like more of the same...

Wow what a fan .

They have been attacking just the final bit missing the bit what can change like it as for Burton etc

How defeatist .

Is interview was spot on .

When Vale won any of there games last season apart from Derby and Plymouth do you feel that we actually played well in any other game ?

I'd say no this season if you go in every home game we have generally played well and eventually it will bear fruit .

Enjoy whatever else you do for entertainment this weekend .

Vale will score and win I'm sure of it .

No way can this bad luck continue

Let's hope all supporters who enjoyed the Wembley experience come out tomoz to thank DC for

1 getting us up into this league

2 he's a football man I enjoyed all his interviews if I was a player I'd run through players for him the way he came across was very motivational.

3 he brought Crosby in .

4 he gave the club a identity after years of complete nut jobs trying to make us a good side and failing .

But after his deserved reception I'm.sorry I want your team beat to

1 give the Vale a big 3 points .

2 to make the journey to Mansfield enjoyable as I'm.driving and if we do not play well tomorrow I'll be livid and I usually carry that feeling for days after and Mansfields already the favourites without making them total favourites .

So win well Vale no excuses

Massive game tomorrow, possible even be career defining for our manager. Imagine your 1st managerial job and already your 2nd crisis in 3 months. Who'd be a manager?

Croz could point to injuries, The Yak has been the biggest loss but he has to speed up the temp of our play. I'm all for playing keep ball but you can't only play at walking pace. You have to change the tempo otherwise another game of pointless passing sideways and backwards with very little creation. If that happens I don't see how Croz survives because the crowd will turn. Given limited options in defence I would change it, go with a back 4 but you just know it will be more square pegs in round holes just to stick to our formation. As long as Croz has a hole in his arse we are playing 3 CB's.

My team would be.

Hugely surprised if its not:

Ripley

Lowe, Debrah, Smith

Sang, Ojo, Arblaster, Plant

Garrity, Ikpeazu, Chislett

We've got no full backs and no wingers. We won't play two up top.

I was dubious the first time I saw Debrah. But now I think he could turn out to be a good signing. He shows thoughtfulness in how he plays the game.

I think we are owed a good game from keeper Ripley. Soft goal let in v Peterborough. Also, along with other defenders, he engaged in some ridiculous messing about playing out.

Sang did play full back in a back 4 in Scotland at St. Johnstone. He is OK at RWB. Plant has had enough games to cope at LWB. We need to set up to allow him to step into midfield as is now fashionable.

To play 2 up top we need to go 4 at the back. I agree that won't happen.

I think we win comfortably on Saturday, but I'd rather win on Tuesday.

I think tomorrow is massive now, had we picked up a few more points i would agree but we need to win tomorrow, we then dont play in the league for 2 weeks (Lincoln A) then likely another 2 week break until Shrewsbury Away with the International weekend likely to the Orient game out.

Bonkers that tomorrow is likely the last Saturday home league game until December 16th! but win tomorrow and we go into that 4 week spell of 1 league game likely in bouyant mood, lose and its a long period and huge pressure for the upcoming games of which the next two are away following by a home game with Derby!

I know this isn't going to happen. As the two players concerned aren't fit enough to do 90 mins yet and tactically Crosby would never do it.
So how about doing away with all this nightmare passing it around the back and back to the goalie then start again. And play very direct long ball up to Uche and Loft up front. Would certainly surprise a few teams.
Probably wouldn't work but might be worth a try.
Before anyone jumps all over me for this. I am not too serious just putting it out as an alternative idea.
