To be honest I think Thomas looked lively against reading first home game of the season, pace to burn and put himself about , just wasn't crosbys cup of tea , tho

what we need now is a back up for him. Someone who we can rotate or bring on so we can manage Wilson’s fitness and not struggle when or if he goes off. There must be a young lad with good pedigree in the England youth set up who can do this? Someone we can take on loan like Alfie or Ollie

Yeah , could do with a couple of young hungry strikers coming in and perhaps offloading Loft to a non league side .

With Thomas going back, surely we'll be bringing in a Premiership (ideally) / Championship striker!

The front end of the team looks OK to me. I'm up for a clever signing. But surely we have to be able to defend better. It's the key to climbing into the top half. This is a multi facetted problem and the backroom team need to analyse it and recruit a player to help solve it if possible.

A Peter Swan type defender , but I still think we need 2 more striker's thru the door cos don't think loft is a great back up option.

Seems his form has dipped after a move to Barnsley fell through. Lewis admitted he was "mentally affected" by this in the summer.

6th best in L2 last season for same metrics.

Totally agree about a decent CB but not sure 3 (4 with Deipepa) up top is enough. Would like another to compliment the attacking options as well as giving us enough cover up front.

Uche, Wilson and Loft as the only strikers  will not be the plan I’m sure. I always saw Thomas as a 10, but we have 3 decent ones and that’s with Devine dropping back to fill the Blaster role, so he’d be 4th choice. Meanwhile we are short of out and out strikers who can do the business consistently. I reckon we’ll be signing someone to finally lead the attack, and then have Uche off the bench to harass tired defenders into the ground.

Another forward to replace Thomas for certain. Can’t  rely on Dipepea to come on for Will after 65-70 mins.
