Was expecting a full 11 here but it’s still a strong side, stronger than the previous rounds, hopefully enough to get through this one and keep players fit for Saturday.

Christ Almighty, what’s that team???!!?

That back 3 fills me with dread!

Feel sorry for Ripley.  Going to be a busy goalie with that back 3.  Can only see AC and Co are resting players.  But you never know, they may be the best back 3.  🤪🤣

Not sure the need to rest so many, we’ve got three league games to follow but then it’s paint pot and the Fleetwood at home game is likely to be P-P with England u20 and Wales U21 playing and both sides having three or four internationals so will have 2 weeks after Pompey aside from the pizza cup.

Decent line up. Nice mixture of youth and experience. Good to see Thomas back as we really could have done with him to bring off the bench against Cambridge.

Relax. We're playing a Sutton side that are a league below us and are also playing a weakened team.

One that wears black and white and deserves your backing. The bigger game is Saturday and the days of naming unchanged sides game after game are gone.

We’ve got a decent squad and in these games it needs to be utilised.

With more inexperience at the back (plus Jones only just getting back) and Walters in CM, makes sense to have Lowe's experience in there, but am still slightly concerned at the defensive aspect. Alternatively, might he try Cass at RWB, Lowe at RCB, Balmer at CB and Sang in MF?

Front 3 look decent enough to create chances against a L2 side though, and power to add from the bench if needed. Hoping AC has got the balance just right again.

Guaranteed win, can't remember the last time you were right.

I would absolutely love another massive slice of humble pie tonight because you’re right, I’ve eaten so much of it this season, that I’ve already gone up a dress size!

But that back 3….. 🫣

Woo hoo Massey playing up front that's a 3-0 start. Thank god I can't watch it.

bore off ! he's done alright so far this season i admit i've been his biggest critic in the past but he looks a different player under crosby. Yes he still has a lot to improve & can be frustrating at times but i don't mind him wide of a front three. His best position for me so have a day off & support the team ffs

Pat, show some love for our Gav

Looks like Crosby has gone with a similar strategy as against Crewe viz resting players.
