Win tonight and then Man Utd AWAY......

Megga pay day and it's not beyond possible we'd get a decent result there....

Talk of a mega payday if we can win tonight is being very optimistic. Admittedly it is a possibility but the chances of it happening this year are not as good as they usually are. That is because in this year's draw too many of the Premier league big guns are being drawn against each other so more than is normal are being knocked out in the early rounds. It's possible that we could get one of the dream ties but the chances are better that we could end up going to Bournemouth, Luton or Burnley from the Premier league or some uninspiring club from lower down the pyramid.

I wonder why you say that Valiant in Brum
As its a big club doing well. Have good memories of our away day there in 06.

Plus I can be there in ten minutes and I don't get to Vale as much as I would like to these days. Would be a luxary.

Not wanting to write off tonight before it's even happened, but IF we get through I'd love a home game v Man U, Everton or Chelsea. A huge club that would sell out, not in great form so a real chance to give them a real game. Great atmosphere under the lights etc. Failing that an away day at Liverpool,  Man U, Arsenal etc, with a huge away end that anyone that wants to go has a realistic chance of getting a ticket. Want us to take 8k or 9k away again and just have a great day / night out, with a big pay day.

Vale have a bigger away allocation than those 3 clubs. All at or less than just 3000 in normal circumstances. Hopefully in cup circumstances more could be provided.

Hopefully Mansfield beat Peterborough and we draw them, possibly get Salford in the quarters. Bradford in the semi then Lincoln in the final. Hope Carol's getting us Europa Ready.

Is a sell out at our ever decreasing stadium really going to make 'season changing' money though?

Max 3100 away fans and a reduced capacity Stand and paddock probably means we would sell out at 12k so an away trip to Anfield, Old Traford etc is the way to go.

Not sure if its the same as the FA Cup but usually you get a big allocation if required. We only got 3000 at WHL because we didn't take up the bigger option if I recall correctly as they told Vale they'd have to pay for any unsold??

Let's win tonight first!

The other wishful thinking is to keep drawing the lowest ranked team and sneek into the semi final.

Sutton Utd are highly compatible with this strategy. We must play a strong team and not throw it away with too many under powered youth team players. You may guess from multiple posts I'm worried about this.

I fancy Jones and Thomas both to get an hour tonight, and hope we put out a decent side.  We don't want a repeat of last Tuesday night.

We dont want to lose because we are weakened as thats a "What if", if we go strong and get beat fair enough but with whats potentially at stake we should be serious with it.

I would make a few changes though, depending on fitness Debrah should come in, Thomas maybe for Willo and think Blaster will be replaced by Lowe and Chissy by Devine. Also expect Shorrock will start at LWB, maybe give Plant a go at RWB as thats his natural side isnt it?

And possibly Debrah

Just a quick query just paid for 2 tickets for 30 pounds ,paid 28 last round my lad who I've paid 15 for and 14 last round is 21 I thought the concessions goes up to 21 (technically he isn't 22 till Fri).

So I'd have thought his ticket would be 7 quid not that it matters as money going to Vale and I will not want a refund just wanted know if anyone else's son who's 21 as to pay the same full price .

Jones for first hour, if doing OK, Deborah for the last 40.  Sorted 😁
