I know many many fans like Dan Jones and want him to stay but I will like to see him move on to another club

Massively. Some people value the odd 60 yard crossfield ball over actual defensive ability. If we're retaining people like Jones as first team players we are in trouble.

Conversely, Jones was our most creative player this season

Didn't win many in that 3-2 defeat to Shrewsbury, didn't win many against Bristol Rovers away, didn't win many at all against bigger, more physical teams, there is a myth that because he bulked up he's somehow now a beast.

Does he mean the club have spent Year 5 planned forecast by Year 4?  Carol came out with that the other month as one of the reasons they paused and took stock of finances and made some changes.

Hopefully this has been resolved in some way and a competitive mid table budget has been put together.  See what players come in before the start of the seaon.

If Jones improved this season as much as he did last season he will be our best player

He's definitely improved. I don't think he'll ever be anywhere near our best player. I don't mind him as a back up.

I wouldn’t have had him in the team when we were in the 2nd division but judging on his performances at left back last season I would be happy for him to be a regular. He definitely isn’t a center back though. I also think he would be better than Benning playing in that position.

Only on OVF could someone make such a somber post with a player that scored 4 goals for us during an entire season being the main reason for that.

There's absolutely no reason why we can't replace him with somebody who will offer more, more consistently.
