Another 'shock' departure along with Steve Spped, Steve Brown, Sevvy Aslam and others from within. The shambolic January transfer window looked like a cost-cutting 'panic' exercise. Comments from pre-Christmas from all were positive, then issues with the pitch, <10K gates, player injury, etc, etc. How close were we and maybe are we to entering administration again?

I appreciate that the Shanahans got well and truly 'shafted' by the fat controller but tbh on the back of the 'bonus' of play-off success, massive shirt sales and an upturn in attendances, I didn't see this mire coming mid season. For me, Clarke and Flitcroft will be next, both seeking alternatives? The media 'spin' and popularity of Carol in the public eye is no longer visible.

It looks and feels a 'dire' situation on and off the pitch? It is a little hard to believe. I bet Cambridge and Burton weren't moaning too much about the pitch. All very sad and disappointing, culminating in what was in my opinion the worst performance since the 'dark' days of Askey/ Aspin et al.

We look a million miles away from being "Championship Ready" on yesterdays showing, however, will the restructure be the introduction of joint ownership with 'Autonet'?

We simply need a strong , football person , street wise and with Vale at heart to run the club , at the moment we have too many cooks .

I have heard one or two u fortunate stories about how Mr Flitcroft deals with players over contract negotiations. They didn’t reflect well on him.

I am hoping someone comes in who doesn't go for his BS and gets rid, waste of a big wage imo, lets get back to where a club secretary and manager deal with transfers and contracts

I think all will be revealed in due course.

Disappointing that it is Colin that has been moved on but I have no doubt this is all part and parcel of an investment into the Vale with changes in shareholders /directors and management structure( I would add not on the playing side)

we just need to get through these next few matches.

Expect big and exciting developments at the Vale complex over the next few years.

Interesting comments there

Lets hope for an investment from someone who has a little bit of wedge and someone who is business savvy and gets rid of DF and his wage and gets us back to normal scouting and bringing in the players DC himself wants or earmarks

For heaven's sake will this dreary referencing of the "Championship-ready" comment ever be dropped? It was said as a long-term statement of intent and ambition, not a promise that would be fulfilled within a definite timeframe. Yes, for once a statement of ambition. An intention to one day take the club to a level that would benefit the club and the wider area.

Only at PVFC could it become a stick with which to mock and beat the owner.

Spot on about the statement and that's why DC was given a five year contract.

If the club has turned into a Robin Askwith film again then at least we’ve had some entertainment value if nothing else.

Yesterday all we had to keep ourselves amused was a fight between two Vale fans in the Naughty Corner near the Railway bogs.

I couldn’t quite see the scuffle.I thought someone threw a ST on to the pitch.

I know nothing of the incident. But I find it very weird when two stewards are posted in the Lorne Street toilets at half time. I guess there is a one in a hundred million risk of a walking stick fight.

Yeah that’s served us well for the last 20 years hasn’t it.

In my opinion It wasn’t a good look Carol wasn’t on the pitch at halftime yesterday with Colin but the utter <ovf censored> people are posting ‘I heard’ ‘rumour is’  suddenly it’s fact and we need statements interviews to clear it up.

Look, change is happening because Carol believes the club requires a different structure to be sustainable  competitive in L1 and deliver ambitious plans off the field.

To do that you have to move people on and they are going to be upset, unhappy and also lead to those still employed to feel insecure and lead to a period of instability. That is what’s happening. It’s just normal business.

As for Flickers the way he deals with player contracts. Sorry it’s called a negotiation. You have to be an arsehole, best friend, councillor and physiologist at different stages of any negotiations. It’s his job to get the best deal for the club and use whichever tactic necessary. I would also hope Flickers is managing several budgets, it means we are getting a bigger bang for our buck.

Honestly fans need to give their heads a wobble, wake up and smell the coffee.

It’s genuinely insane to me that people complain about Flitcroft as DoF. We literally got promoted in his first full season.
I don't get the hate for the man personally he had to cut the budget in January so was only allowed to bring in cheap loans and he told us in the summer that we couldn't compete with league one wages so how is any of that his fault. In fact the one year he did have a decent budget he got us promoted so I think he's done alright.
