It is actually walkable in 45 mins- an hour if you know where you're going and get there early enough.  Plenty of pubs/bars enroute as well

Out go quite a few if your a wing back surely your job is to positive and get down your side and whip balls in of good quality Holden I feel could be that man he might not be bit how you going know if not given an opportunity and why not Benning continues to frustrate and surely needs taking out the side .
I always think players have happy hunting ground well Dennis Politic has already netted a hat trick at this ground he will be direct and linking up with Taylor could be just the thing we need in that final third .
We thank Proctor Conlon etc who played other night but didn't really shine at all so bench for them with Donnelly and Benning/Massey .

They have beaten 4 of the bottom 6 teams, good for confidence but not fantastic. Plus Oxford without Taylor.

Beaten 4 of the bottom 6 and Oxford are in dire form (sounds like it was a fortunate win as well).

They were extremely fortunate to beat FGR as well, living where I do I know several fans and Forest Green were apparently better for a good 75 minutes or so just pressed the self destruct button and conceded 2 in stoppage time(a bit like they did against us). Shrewsbury are solid and very workmanlike typical Cotterill team, he's like a lower league Pulis. Will protect what he's got before going for a victory.  Good when it works but frustrating to watch(if your a fan) when it doesn't.  It's worked for them recently though so you can't knock it.

i agree if we have a decent forward line out(and take our chances) I honestly think we can win the game and even win it well.  The problem is as we know we're out of form and haven't had a decent forward line in recent games!

Charles Darwin and Brooklands pubs are the closest to the ground(10-15 min walks) both half decent but the better watering holes(at least imo) are in the town centre.

We were evenly matched sides when we played them at home with Ellis up front still in his hot streak to nick a late winner.  Not knowing their injury situation my feeling is we’ll have to take a big step up from recent performances to match them this time around especially with none of our first choice forwards match fit , though perhaps available to play.

Score early and then play like Accrington did the other night would be acceptable to me to secure a result, but knowing our luck we’ll get a competent ref  🥴.

8 of us in taxi/minibus shall be in town 11.30 ish. Sampling a few sherbets to make the match look great !!!

Salopian Bar on Smithfield Road a good place to start (opposite the river). Great choice of ales, lagers and cider draught and bottle
