Last game v Forest Green he gave away one of the free kicks that they scored off but looked good apart from that. With more games he will hopefully make less mistakes and fulfil his undoubted potential.

He’s like any other young player in that regard, only going to learn by making mistakes, true in all walks of life.  This is where fans need to be a bit more sympathetic towards the likes of Robinson, Mipo, Butterworth, Small, McCarron and Co.  It’s easy to forget they’re far from the finished product and need to play competitively to improve, but hand in hand with that goes the risk of these players making errors in games.

Smith= Aspo, Forrester=Deano.

Closest centrehalf to Smith was Sproson. Not quick or tall, but could out compete more physically imposing players. Neither particularly adept at passing the ball.

Not sure I can think of anyone that similar to Forrester. He looks to be developing into the player I thought Joe Davis would become before he decided to move to Leicester. Ironic that Davis decided under 23 football would make him a better player - Forrester that playing league football would make him a better player. My belief is Forrester will have a better career.

He s definitely settling in after a few tentative performances and a couple of mistakes.

hopefully he ll make us some money one day.. but football is ruthless and if you don’t perform there’s always someone ready to take your place.

I do think we are getting a growing reputation for improving young players which is so important for the calibre of player we can attract in the future.
