Synectic`s owner statement

The price Smurf asks for is the cost..... the value is something completely different.

Yes he enjoys playing his little games to attempt to drive the price up.

His supposed trip to the buyer in Hong Kong didn’t come off.

They were offering less than Synectics bid at 2.7 million including a discount of 500k if we were relegated.

Synectics should make a final take it or leave it offer of 2.5 million and leave him holding the baby.

He has to subsidise the upcoming close season when he is struggling to raise income and if we don’t give him our season ticket money until end of early bird offer he will lose money.

Mate there are so many people who ain't renewing AT ALL that the idea of holding back your money is irrelevant.

Season ticket sales will definitely not exceed 2000 and may well not reach 1500, very possibly less.

Anyone who thinks this is bluff is really unaware of the feelings among the ranks.

It's worth what it can be valued at. We don't know exactly what this is but, as a lot of things have stagnated or gone backwards over the reign of Norman, it can't be much more or less than what he bought it for originally.

If I value my own house at a million quid, despite the fact it's probably worth a fifth of that, it doesn't make it a million pound house. Synetics have offered over the odds because Norman is a deluded, money-loving greedy git.

I understand what you mean but there are only 72 football clubs compared to millions of 200k houses.People don’t need to pay a premium for a house.Different for a footie club.As it happens I think 4m is a decent offer.

I think £4Million is too much, the more "profit" the greedy owner makes, the harder it is for the new owner to be successful. But he probably wants them to fail just to prove he wasn't that incompetent to himself.

Synectics were prepared to pay it RZ.It will be interesting to see what their next offer is.

Obviously a valuation is open to a situation, but with our current status, what are we worth?

We seem overpriced IMHO, especially looking at the Pompey sale.

That article claims Coventry are worth 7m.

To be honest we are worth more than Coventry. They have no ground or assets.

They are a nomad club who need a new ground.

Vale meanwhile do have land and assets, even if Smurfwaite separated the club and the ground.

Coventry have a squad capable of challenging for the league 1 playoffs, that is an asset. If they make the Championship there are benefits in income. Vale are a shambles on and off the pitch.

We had a side under Page close to that. Unless they have players worth millions on long term contracts, it won’t add much to the squad.

In fact, if Coventry are in debt as rumoured such an expensive squad is a liability, not an asset.
