It is somewhat strange that the only two people that have offered to put money in to help SS put the ground in trust for the fans are you and I Howjy.

I do love those who moan and hate Smurf but won’t put any money where their slightly large mouths are.

Surely on a larger scale someone within the B&G movement have some money to invest?

This is brilliant... someone who thrives on posting thousands of posts and making a noise about everything doesn’t like it when others are not doing the same.

Feels like you might be missing a fair amount of info REP.

Or are you... who knows?

The answer to that question is you... you don’t.

No one knows who some of B&G are bud, someone said last week they preferred to remain anonymous to protect themselves.

Hopefully if they do have finance they can chip in like the rest of us that wish to and assist SS with the bid for the ground and to put it in trust for us as fans. It would certainly win most doubters over and give SS a little extra breathing space in terms of expectation and pressure on them as a board to deliver success.

I've been thinking that as well. He might decide to sell the football side as it's the bit that's giving him the most grief, but the ground would be the thing that just keeps giving. Any buyer would either have to pay whatever he wanted or contemplate a move away from VP.

The ground has to be included in any deal and ideally put in trust for the fans.

Synectic's are urging Smurf to return to the negotiating table, to thrash out a deal that is good for him, synectic's and the football club, according to Signal Radio 2.

Fingers crossed.

It shows the difference in the two people at the negotiating table.

Smurthwaite is taking advantage of the fact that the Vale is a loved community asset and will benefit financially because of the emotions involved. His valuation is greater than the intrinsic value of the club.

Synectics are willing to pay the over inflated price to save the community asset.

Sums it up... one cares so little about the club he will line his own pockets at the detriment of it. The others care so much they will take the hit.

I think they are showing that they care a little bit too much. They should let the protests make Vale ownership less attractive to the ******** and then wait until he comes to them.

Yes play his little games and offer him less than before as a final offer.Obviously his Hong Kong deal has fallen through(if it even existed and he was using it as a threat to drive the price up).

The protests are definitely making him uncomfortable and if the club survives the next 10 matches he is left holding the baby until next season.

He also has the closed season to fund and hopefully if fans withhold their season ticket money until the last day of the early bird offer to renew this restricts his income until then.Lets then see if his statement that he isn’t interested in season ticket sales holds true.

He will be crying like a baby saying he blames the supporters for the clubs current state and will reduce the budget.

Sounds positive.

I’d imagine what they initially offered upfront would be more than enough.

With the caveat of the ground then being put in trust for the fans it should win full support.

Forget the early bird, there'll be 1500 people not renewing at all while he's still here.
