Synectic`s owner statement

Regarding the £80M - I'm fairly sure that he claimed to have sold a business for £80M, not that he's worth £80M.

I'm pretty sure if that was the case there'd be details to find on it but searching him throws up very little. It seems the Holiday Inn's he claims actually belong to Paul Wildes. His fortune seems privately owned property based. It's all very odd. For instance - where's the evidence of the Engineering company he claims to have inherited then sold off at great profit to begin his portfolio? You don't amass a £130M fortune on the quiet, unless it's of dubious means. So where's his business evidence?

Why should SS pay over the odds for a club he paid 1.25 million for.He is just a greedy bar steward expecting them to pay for his incompetence and numerous mistakes.

He is just taking advantage of them being genuine supporters wanting the best for the club.

I just hope he is investigated by HMRC for his dubious wheeling and dealing with his various companies.

He said he was worth 80 million when he bought the club.

Now he says he is worth 130 million.

Considering he he only has Port Vale as his main business where has this rise in wealth come from.

He has taken 2 million out of the club this season and put sfa in.

So,are you suggesting that Smurthwaite has made 50m out of the Vale as you say that’s his main business? My suggestion was to help SS and in return have the ground put in trust.Would you be up for that or are you happy with your ‘moaning bag out’ stance?Whether it’s SS or anybody else the asking price has not yet been met.A comparison for you.Peter Coates and family are worth billions, why don’t they spend hundreds of millions every year, they may have avoided relegation last season if they had.Moaning and accusing will not shift Smurthwaite, cash will.Like I’ve said it’s a case of how badly somebody wants the club.

It is somewhat strange that the only two people that have offered to put money in to help SS put the ground in trust for the fans are you and I Howjy.

I do love those who moan and hate Smurf but won’t put any money where their slightly large mouths are.

Surely on a larger scale someone within the B&G movement have some money to invest?

Ask B&G to do some digging. Or maybe the sentinel, that’s what helped oust v2001. Mind you they didn’t have a pot to pee in.

Is that could invest or would invest?

I have some I could invest.

Would I invest to pad Smurfs inflated price?..... hell no.... would I donate to pad the price?... hell no.

Let the two parties haggle it out... what comes after is debatable.

Investment suggests some return.... where would the return come from?

Why not ask Smurf to reduce his crap asking price instead of passing the hat..... or collection bucket.

He told me at the last SC meeting he attended last March that there was no trace of his wealth because it was all offshore. Interesting.

It’s the sellers right to sell at what they want. I think it’s over priced given what he’s reported to want.

Howjy’s original suggestion is a great idea if it secures the ground for the fans for generations to come, certainly gives those of us that had fake shares with v2001 a lot more long term.

I suggested last week about instead of buying a ST while Smurthwaite is still here to put that money somewhere and ring fence it.

My suggestion would be donate to buy the ground but also to buy a ST separately. No need to donate or buy either unless SS have the club.CS has said the ground should belong to the fans. She didn’t ask for cash but as it stands SS are not prepared to meet the asking price. It was a way of trying to help to get a deal through.
