Synectic`s owner statement

Recommended Posts

There's nothing to believe or not believe from his angle. All he's said is that he doesn't want to lend someone money to buy something off him. The installments thing has come from Synetics. I don't think they're lying but equally I think it's possible that in these farcical sounding discussions they've been having with Smurthwaite that they've been spun a yarn.

Am I right in thinking that Smurthwaite borrowed the money to buy Vale from one of his own companies?

Stoke Audi is bigger than Port Vale. Don't forget that.

Anyway, why do you assume that I need to ask that question. I have already said Synetics are preferable to Normal Smurthwaite. But that's not saying much. My point is that we have (once again) got ourselves into such a state that we are happy for 'anyone but the current owner' to own the club. The same as what happened with V2001.

What happens in three years when Synetics are basically a reincarnated V2001 - Lovely ideas but no money or football knowhow - is what worries me.

I don’t want “anyone but the current owner” - certainly not some random guys from Hong Kong with no connection to Burslem at all.

If you look at the history of Synectics business the chances of them becoming a reincarnated V2001 is about as likely as you becoming Queen of England.

Seriously? Smurthwaite is a proven liar. How can anyone in their right mind believe him over them. The only farce on this is his actions.

You appear to have closed your mind re Synectics despite the fact they've done nothing to influence that decision. Smurthwaite on the other hand has lied countless times, and yet you'd take his word over there's? Unbelievable.

Where've I said I believe Smurthwaite? I don't think even Smurthwaite believes Smurthwaite.

I'm saying the installment thing has come solely from Synetics, yet everyone says it came from Smurthwaite.

So like Smurthwaite but without the lovely ideas .

I'm not talking about Smurthwaite. I'm talking about having slight reservations about Carol's admission that hearing some people moaning at Cheltenham made her want to pay almost 5m for the club, and that the first thing that came to mind when asked about the negative impact of relegation was 'less away fans'.

Seems like all you have to do on here is question the suitability of Synetics as owners of the football club and people get hysterical and froth at the mouth.

Are you suggesting that SS are telling lies when they said instalments was a Smuthwaite idea?

Ah the old 'connection to Burslem' thing. Just like appointing a manager 'because he's local'.

No one is frothing at the mouth, just correcting your assumptions.

Have you even listened to her interview with Radio Stoke? Can't wait to walk into the Railway Stand tomorrow, have a look around at the beautiful surroundings and think 'why wouldn't I want to own it?'.

Christ alive.

You said there's nothing to believe or not to believe Smurthwaite. There is, there's the word of Carol. Given Smurthwaites form, that's enough to convince me. He's a proven liar.
