Whitfield is one of those players who will disappear for long periods of the game, but he’ll pop up with something that may change the game. As it happens he’s forced the keeper in to a great save early doors and then scored. Just shows the value of giving a player like that a free role across the forward line.

Whitfield should be starting every single game of the season, very good player for league 2 as well all know. How we often play an extra centre half to leave him out is beyond me.

Vassell is struggling, nothing coming down Vale's left, Aspo needs to take him off for his own confidence if nothing else.

I'm a fan of Whitfield, he should be involved every week for me as he's one of the very few players with a bit of skill and flair that can create and score goals.

 

However, the goal was yet another set piece where Hannant floated it across, someone (?) headed it back across goal and Whitfield was unmarked to head in.

 

We need to find a solution to creating/scoring from open play as I'm sure about 70% of our goals come from set plays.

Aspin for England Z team. That is the only way we will get a new manager who may know how to motivate the team.

 

Silly mistakes by most of the players and the side looks totally without any confidence. Thank goodness we have Brown. What a class goalie we have again in the team. Thank goodness he is the constant in the team.

That was a tremendous save from Brown by the way, I was right in line with that and it was heading for the top corner. But again it came from indecision on our left.
