They do - but can field, I think, two overage players. So we might see members of the first team squad turn out. Vale are under no such sanction but can only make a limited number of changes from the last league game - which was Yeovil away.

I thought Stoke were only allowed one overage player, I could be wrong though.

Vale could field their strongest team according to the criteria.

Of the 10 outfield players, at least 4 must have started the last game, or will start the next game or have played more than 40 first team appearances for any league club.

I’m having second thoughts about not going, not been to any games in this competition and was going to boycott this, but it looks like being the biggest crowd of the season so it’s hardly a boycott.

 

If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs...

Pope (not sure if its 5 or 7 subs??).

 

Im sure Pope, Smith and Gibbo would love to play against Sjoke so maybe bring Popey on late on to score a few!!!

I’ve not been to any of the games in this (devalued) competition either.Im not falling for all the hype and going this one either
