If not Norm, then who owns the shares?

Someone does; Thorn no longer is a major shareholder. At least 75% of his shares have gone somewhere.

If we're to believe Norm and accept its not him, who on earth is it? Why are they staying quiet and letting the club perish? Why would you buy shares in a football club, not release a confirmation statement to update Companies House on this, shun any form of recognition of the fact, and sit back, watching the business you have just bought dissolve into oblivion, whilst someone else owns the only asset that company has (their ground, which is Norms)?

I'm sorry, but this simply doesn't add up.

To add to this; Norm, as man who owns the ground and clearly knows whats going on Nuneaton, seems as lost as the rest of us as to who owns the club.

Bear in mind:

1. They have 2 of our players on loan

2. They have the same kit supplier

3. Norm owns their ground

4. Aspo claimed Norm needed to stop focusing on Nuneaton

Taking all this into account, you'd think Norm would know who owned Thorn's shares now? How could he literally have no idea when Thorn brought him into the fold in the first place?

"Sorry Norman, I know I was your way in and you own the ground of the football club I own, but I'm now going to go AWOL and sell my shares to a 3rd party and not inform you AT ALL who that 3rd party is. This 3rd party will remain mute and you'll never find out who they are. Hope the season goes well. Thorney x"

Might be my personal judgement of Norm clouding my vision, but I'm struggling to reconcile his statement today with the facts of the matter.

Missed this one

5. Tried to sack Nuneaton's manager by all reports

No matter what personal judgements anyone has of Norm good, bad or indifferent we all know something is not right about this situation and someone somewhere is not being totally truthful.

Didn't know about that.

This needs clarification. I can't imagine what Nuneaton fans are going through. They're not only losing their club, but ostensibly losing it to a silent executioner, happy to watch them die.

Hypothetically. It could add up let’s say IF someone were to buy some land that MAY become valuable to them IF the current occupants weren’t there in the near future.

Furthermore IF a nearby football league club MIGHT face ground lease issues and MAYBE would be looking for a football ground SOMEWHAT near to where they are based in, it would make further sense.

Why would our owner who doesnt own nuneaton say to their manager he can sack him ,when that manager has pointed out he cant cause he doesn't own the club.

Simply he is either lying by making out he is the main big man when he isnt or he is lying cause he runs and calls the shots at the club when he says he has nothing to do with it...

Place your bets which is the lie

...this really shows what aspin and co has to work with

Better still, he should get out of any involvement with football altogether

Think he likes the cloak n dagger , being the hero whilst being the villain approach claiming not to know anything when he holds all the cards... this chameleon approach is now starting to catch him out as the stakes get higher and higher , its what happens if/when the proverbial hits the fan and he probably spits his dummy..

just hope that the nuneaton council don't let the ground have planning permission for any other purpose, football clubs are an extension of the community and should be a 2 way street for support and working together

update from their forum

Possibly good news on horizon

According to Dave Sharp, he has been told by a Boro deep throat that talks for a new club, not ground, owner are in advanced stages and they may be in place by weekend.
