Was that the worst refereeing ever seen at Vale Park?

I don't know about the worst ref but yesterday's ref made some of the worst and most bizarre decisions since the ref at the Chesterfield game!!!!!!

In the Pope booking both players were continually pushing each other, jostling for the ball, it's what happens between center forwards/backs but to continually penalize Pope and not the Crawley player was incomprehensible, book them both or none of them. As for the penalty, if penalties are going to be given for such challenges then there should be 10+ penalties a game, ludicrous decision.

That penalty and the free kick awarded to Chesterfield for their goal are two of the most ludicrous decisions I've seen at vale Park.

A mate of mine who supports Wolves,he watches Vale a bit, and was a ref and has done matches at Conference level said he was dreadful, . He said at one point he was going to offer his services as he thought the guy had had a brainfreeze
SPOT ON !He'd totally lost it at one point and luckily he was saved from a riot by the lorne st assistant, who went onto the pitch and calmed things down. The 4th official was useless too as he spent more time telling Brabin to keep out of the technical area. Jumped up officials!

Think Pope was booked for dissent, not the foul. Similar with Montano, he threw the ball, softly, at the player who had just fouled him. It’s very annoying that the fouler gets away with it.

A bit like Wilshere for Arsenal this afternoon. He commits the foul but before the free kick can be taken, yes he gets booked but two other players are red carded.

Never seen our manager so down after a match,it was so frustrating.

These refs seem to have it in for us this season?

We have had some diabolical officials this season. The club must be doing something wrong. I wonder if we don't welcome them with a cuppa and a biscuit or something.

The problem is when they seemingly turn it into a game about themselves being the centre of attention.

Aspin is right, the constant stopping and talking to players is pointless, it kills the flow of the game.

How their lad didn’t get a yellow for feigning Pope head butting was disgusting.

We see so much grappling or physical contact in league two that if someone like him reffed every game there would be a pen in every game. Not sure why smith was booked for that either.

It’s frustrating that refs can’t see through the play acting and gamesmanship that goes on in a game. It’s like they don’t understand that side of the game or that they’d never played it and are just applying the letter of the law with no thought.

Yep Montano was booked for throwing the ball.

Not sure Pope was booked for dissent 'cause the ref continually penalized Pope and not the Crawley player, if it was for dissent it was out of frustration for the continual one sided decisions against Pope/Vale.

She was a million times better than the ref.

She gave a foul that he missed about 2 feet in front of him. Kept her flag up and managed to bring play back. She was on the opposite side to me but that at least stuck in my mind as a positive

I think that was in the second half for a foul on Tonge. That was right in front of us, it looked like a great slide tackle to be fair and yet she gave the foul for us. Odd decision I thought.
