Smurf is the problem yes but he doesn't pick the team, choose the tactics and come out with the same excuses match after match like Aspin does,he is another Brown who did not go 13 games without a win even in League One.

I agree Aspo makes questionable decisions but we're not playing too badly at the minute, we're just short of luck and our best player.

Honestly think we'll nick a win soon and everything will settle down.

It can't come quick enough.

There were no problems down to the manager tonight. We had 15 shots, 6 on target. Failed to take clear chances, dominated the second half. Pope up front we would have won tonight. Barnett put in a good shift and didn't do too bad, but Forrester was ineffective.

At the back they have had 4 shots all on target. Not many, but the goal conceded was awful - surely Raglan must know the player he is against is left footed, surely the other defenders can see the angle of the cut back and block and the third line of defence can surely mark the scorer. We were lucky first half there were a few occasions when they had men unmarked or goalside if tge ball had got through.

MY BIG TIP FOR THE DEFENDERS AT WYCOMBE - MARK AKINFENWA - HE WILL BE THE BIG BLACK DOOD IN THE SIX YARD BOX.

For what it's worth I was chatting to a bunch of Exeter fans in the pub after the match and they said they'd pinched 3 points tonight and were singing the praises of their keeper who they rate very highly and reckon has been like that in a few games this season.

I know our emotions are running high but being objective about it I think heavy criticism of Aspo is totally unfair because he was well and truly sold a pup when he joined us. Our glorious owner clearly stated in public that Aspin would be backed in January and prior to the window Rudgey said they'd got a number of targets lined up. With the possible exception of Howkins, who looks a very decent prospect, we didn't get any of them. Why? The promised backing didn't materialise, it was just more hot air from the real villain of the piece.

Alex Ferguson would struggle in Aspo's position right now, we are stuck with a generally poor squad with no way of changing it until the summer. For example, if anyone thinks Reeves or Middleton are a better alternative to the ageing Pugh and Tonge they obviously haven't seen them play, especially Middleton who isn't anywhere near league standard. Yes, we're poor but the responsibility for that lies with the person who has made consistently idiotic decisions for the past few years and that isn't Neil Aspin who is a proven successful manager with 600+ games and a number of promotions under his belt.

I'm getting worried Aspo will resign in the summer because of the false pretences under which he's been brought here and we'll end up with another disastrous summer under the 'leadership' of a crackpot. If that happens we're finished and that applies in both L2 or, God forbid, the National League.

At least, in Howkins, we have someone who will not shirk the physical battle against "The Beast". It will be a tough match, however.

I don't care what anyone says Aspin has lost these players I honestly think the players absolutely hate him and it's damaging some of their careers and I think this is where the back stabbing comments have come from, some players have either voiced their concerns to the clubs hierarchy or there's been some sort of player meeting about the situation. A few of these players I have absolutely no doubt wud be better players under a different manager Whitfield, Worral, Harness, Smith, Gibbons, Raglan and the likes. Of course this is just me reading between the lines and my honest opinion.

Surely Aspin resigning is the best thing that could happen as it wouldn't cost us anything? I'm telling u now if a new manager walked in tomorrow it would instantly give these players a lift and the horrible tense atmos in the dressing would be gone and the lads may just start enjoying their time at the club a bit more and that can only mean better times on the pitch.

Aspo can only pick players from the squad that smuthwaites budget provides.

The most frustrating thing is that I think we deserved to win three of our last four games and I couldn't say that about the previous eight. Tonight:

Raglan is no full back.

Forrester doesn't look interested and isn't good enough.

Aspin has a lot to learn about league management.

It shows how poor our full backs are when our best is a winger playing that position.

We seem to be getting no luck at all at the moment.

And do u think top of the table Accrington Stanley's budget is bigger than ours? Let's not forget Aspin has been able to bring 8 players in too since he arrived, he is not beyond blame himself in all this.
