Is Stuart Nelson suddenly the new Schmeichel? All gks make mistakes. The fact that he's without a club mid February suggests all is not well and he hasn't played a game all season!

Are you seriously defending Boot, after today? Did you see his assist today?

If you don't even have the skill to hoof the ball, when you have the audacity to call yourself a pro footballer, then you should just get in the shower and drive straight to the jobcenter!

I've been more than patient and/or overbearing with our keepers, but that goal today, got me in so much disbelief, I actually threw a bottle across the room in anger! That was so beyond belief, so beyond a joke, so beyond acceptable, that he should never be allowed near the Vale badge again!

 

But yet; he will probably start again, against Newport...

I'd say its still vital that we try to get another keeper in as the main two we've had this season have been abysmal.

 

Maybe Hornby would be worth a try but Aspin obviously prefers both Lainton and Boot, and that's a massive vote of no-confidence if he's rated as being even worse than those two!

We can't get points on the board when we don't have a half decent goalie between the sticks. Swindon were frankly as bad as us but took their chances that we gifted them. I saw some effort and passion from some players today but honestly we are a shambles We are so one paced, so predictable and so poor it is now embarrassing. Ok we had a few who were injured today but I repeat without a goalie the defence sh..s itself anytime Boot got near to the ball. A traffic cone must be better between the sticks!

Looks like the team battled today. Not seen the goals on TV yet, but this keeper problem must have cost us 15 to 20 points this season. It has three forms. One - hopeless, the Bulgarian. mistake prone, all of them, not making saves because not up to standard needed. The only keeper I have liked this season is Kelle Roos who was doing well after a dodgy start. He was capable of shot stopping that Boot isn't up to. I wish we could get him back.
