Frustrating - our inability to close a game down when a point is available continues to bite us in the bum. If there is a league table for teams who concede late, we must surely be top of it? With 4 minutes to go, a point looked to be great effort, given the goals we had gifted them. Once again, we return from an away game empty handed. Need three points pretty quickly, because at present we are only holding our position because those below us are equally/more inept.

I come in for some stick on here to do people still think Aspin is a good manager? So many many fans got the blinkers on cus he's a Vale hero but I guarantee if this was a manager with no Vale ties the lynch mob wud be out

You have to give Aspin a full season before properly judging him. It sounds like his changes helped to improve us today, not so sure about the substitutions though.

 

I agree.

 

It's bad at the minute but lets not forget we had 5 points after 11 games, hadn't won since the first game with the worst squad I've seen in my lifetime when he took over.

 

Give a few months into the next season when he's had a chance to build his own squad, before we can really tell what he's about.

You have to question what has happened to the squad that was winning games 1 - 0 at Exeter. It sure as hell doesn't seem like the same squad.

Crewe, Barnet, and Chesterfield games look to be the biggest in the club's history (for the wrong reasons)

 

We need minimum 7 points from those games, or we're done.

Current form tables don't mean a thing as Barnet and Crwho have shown today! There are at least 2 of those clubs below us who will still be below at the end of this season. And not all the teams just above us are leaving us isolated. And of those 5 below us, 4 have much worse GDs. (to another poster:) ummm...we are 1 point in front of Crwho!

Yes, I feel for Aspin in terms of the keepers he has inherited. Whoever he chooses doesn't inspire confidence, and costs us points. Can we go out and get a safe pair of hands/feet? Without the Boot error, we would be coming home with a point feeling the rot had been checked....
