I would argue that as it was on the day it is relevant .. Im not suggesting all smurfs failings are but considering the things that are rumoured re gunning its relevant to his move and therefore his playing against us on the day... there has to be some flexibility and I would suggest its a judgment call

Do we ban people for posting stoke or crewe are losing in the match day thread?

Its difficult to ignore the gunning situation when the guy moves to play for his new team against his old team in the very next match he plays... it is therefore just as difficult to ignore the circumstances that allowed/dictated the move and the people involved... would it be off topic to talk about the crowd at the match?... the officials?... the opposition?... the stand?... the food?

 

That's understandable but it's how points are made and then made again, again and again. Just repeating the same point from thread to thread.

So we are crystal clear then as an admin you feel that talking about a contract offer to Gunning from our owner (that no one knows the content of to properly discuss anyway) and talking constantly throughout a number of posts about under investment from the owner etc... is relevant to the match day topic on the forest green game? And you wouldn’t move those comments to the two current threads about Gunnings transfer ??

I see what you are getting at Paul but i'm not sure yesterday had much to do with luck.

My observations were maybe complacency/ attitude.

Just seemed to think we had to turn up to win, Football doesn't work like that.

 

My post reflected my own frustration rather then anything else and I agree with you that Saturday's result hadn't got much to do with luck but it ain't half exasperating when a guy signed the previous day swings his foot from 25yds and the ball goes in the top corner.

 

Must admit I thought Worrall was gonna score when he was in on goal in the last few mins, I was waiting for the net to bulge, that was the difference at the end of the day.

We were unlucky in having a severely visually impaired liner on the main stand side.

Can't say as i once appealed for anything untoward myself , basically a none performance from Vale, blaming officials masks a truly insepid effort from Vale.

 

It was a truly insipid performance by both sides but that is not a reason for a liner to fail to give a correct decision. We were poor but that liner was even worse.
