No one has mentioned it yet but Brian Little was interviewed last week.

 

I'd prefer Burge than him but wouldn't put it past Norman having him as one of the "outstanding" candidates.

 

If Brian Little is one of Norman's three exceptional candidates, we are in serious trouble.

 

His win ratio looks impressive (40.5%) but most of his success was in his early career. His last professional league club was Wrexham in 2007-08, which makes even Ince and Horton's experience look recent, and Wrexham were relegated to the Conference in his first season. His win ratio there was 21.9%, similar to Brown's, and he won only 7 games in 32 in the season they lost their league status. He then failed to get them back into the league.

 

After that, he's only managed Gainsborough Trinity and Jersey, leaving Jersey in May 2016.

 

As with a few others then, just the kind of manager we don't want.

Norman says that he has a short list of three.

Hopefully he has taken advice from some one with experience (such as Micky Adams) when choosing the short list and will hopefully do so when deciding upon the successful applicant.

Most people only take advice which agrees with what they have already decided.

I'm not surprised by this. I understand Brian Little was very close to getting the job previously as DOF with a young coach under him.
