I think it would be as well for you to realise that the owner is not MY nemesis, I just want him to sell and have a wonderful life elsewhere and would never even think of him again. The majority of Vale fans want him gone, which is something HE should realise.

Do I detect a slow but massively overdue but still welcome shift in your opinion of the great leader who is so adept at finding us managers ?

Adams may be useful in an advisory capacity, not as a permanent manager.

Page has gone as he failed' date=' Bruno has gone as he failed and Brown has gone as he failed. It's now time to move on and find a successful manager, which is ideally an experienced man.[/quote']

I wouldn't say Page was a failure. He was an inexperienced manager learning his trade which meant he tended to be too cautious/negative but he was considerably better than the last 2 appointments. His biggest problem was the chairman who undermined him and the players.

No I've consistently said that's been his major failing, so you detect very slowly if that's the case.

On Adams we will have to agree to differ although it seems that might be all he will be able to commit to.

Having thinking about it this weekend I would like this scenario:

Give Micky it until the end of the season, adds stability and tames Norman a bit, popular with most although not all of the fans and has the experience. Would boost the morale of the fan base in the main.

During the early spring time start a thorough and detailed long term manager search with MA and other legends involved ready for them to be appointed and to start back ground work in April (i.e. planning new signings, retained list) to then take over as soon as the season ends.

That would make sense and avoid too much instability. Save the EFL status and build foundations.
