Yes, they're making decent signings that could/should have them challenging for the top 7 places next season.

 

Haven't they had quite a wedge recently from sell-on clauses? (Ashley Westwood, was there another too?)

Withh the players they have sold over the seasons, they should be loaded , where has their money gone ?

The odds are not out but we will be nailed on favourites to go out of the football league.

I believe no one wants to sign for our car crash of a club.

Brown will be gone by Christmas and smurf will let tom pope have a go.

 

I've got to agree. The way things are shaping up we will be out of the football league come May next year while our 6 fingered, big eyed friends from Cheshire will be heading in the other direction. Brown, Garlick and whoever else runs this brilliant football club need to do so very very much more than they are at the minute.

Still can't see the logic of offering Yates a contract.

The money should have been used wisely to sign a player who could play regularly in the first team or top up wages for better players.Especially if Purkiss signs can't see the logic of then signing Gibbons. These signings must all be reducing the budget for signing decent players.

 

Agree with this - its like we are buying/spending on the xmas tree decorations without thought of the cost the tree -

seems crazy and hope i'm wrong but unless you have got your targets how can you know how much budget you have left for the stocking fillers -time will tell if our budget is actually worse that 'less than competitive'

 

ps not sure why i have gone with a festive euphemism:huh:

I posted months ago my thoughts on successive relegatiions and was widelely berated. Just as I have been from the onset of our promotion which was in no part smufwaites doing. Most fans just did not get how I could be critical of the man who saved us from oblivion. The fact is he never did.

There were other bidders.

This man will never put us into admin why would he he owns our ground.

If we were not in the football league a ground share with Macclesfield town or even Crewe would be a real possibility. By Christmas we will all just wish we had not been bought out of admin by this clown out of sheer embarrassment.

Must admit beginning to think we will end up with some of the dead beats again at this rate. Just hope Brown and the team have things in hand and we don't end up with the scraps of the table.

 

Again are the players not wanting to come to Vale Park for some reason?
