Mansfield have made 11 new signings already.

 

.....and they are all now sat at home with their fingers up their arse waiting for pre-season training to start in around three to four weeks time.

 

Browns got a big task rebuilding the squad and I'd rather he took his time over it than rushing in signing players willy nilly just to please a few on here.

There is a balance to be had. While i agree we shouldn't just go for the first available, there is also the danger of missing out on potential targets if things are left too late. I am really surprised there has been no announcement today however as the Sentinel seemed to think we had completed a signing 2 days ago.

Can't believe some impatient fans on here. Club tell us that offers have been made/on table so players are rightly considering their options. What do some of you want? Brown to pay over the odds simply to satisfy you? Time will tell us who is coming and then you or even I can criticise management if necessary. Pull your bellies and necks in. Let brown do what he believes is right for the Club and finances. If he signs overpaid players now and fans don t like their names/ colours of their socks or their hairstyles where does that get us? I simply cannot understand fans desires to rush headlong into getting numbers on board. I thought the catch phrase for the new season was to be" quality. not quantity!"

In the world I live in if you want someone, you sell the dream hard, knock them off their feet & get them so desperate to join they can't say no. Can't remember ever offering & sitting and waiting. Different industry but if you want someone , you move everything to get them. Simple.
