Yes what I like about our Mick is that he says it as he sees it unlike most on RS. If Mick says Smurthwaite should go then he gets my vote any day.

Welcome back Mick have you still got your boots because I'm sure that along with Willie you could make more of it than those two powder puffs that we have masquerading as strikers.

I was hoping, he would bring us a change of Luck.

and put on his boots, run on the pitch and show them how to do IT !

I remember Cullerton was one of three? Scottish lads, who came down to join the Vale, when Stanley Matthews was our Manager,

Tommy McClaren, and Roddy Georgeson Were the others, I think ? 1965 ?

Oh Phoenix it was a lot more than 3, in addiition to Cullerton and Georgeson, Sir Stan first brought in two lads from Aberdeen, Cumming and Morrison, they made little impact. Others from north of the Border included Alex Donald, Keeper Billy McNulty, full back Gordon Logan, a centre forward from Rangers called Billy McCartney, all of these played for the first team but with no huge success, I think Gordon Logan played the most games, after Cullerton of course. The third player I suspect you are thinking about holds a place in Vale's all time record holders and I doubt his record will ever be broken. He played for the first team in a league game before his 16th birthday.

Tommy Mac was signed slightly later and he, without doubt, had the best Vale career, but I judge him to be of a different cohort of players.

There may be others but I have gone entirely from memory so apologies if I missed anyone.

PS Damn I forgot to name the third player, it was, of course, Malcolm McKenzie a left winger and his debut as a 15 year old came against Newport County

Maybe Bruno copied the Stanley Matthews method of recruitment

Great to see him back at Vale Park, shame he will be banned now by Smurf for those comments. Just saying what we think.

After the article, I too think that will happen. More & more turning against him now...

Its interesting that Mick returns to Radio Stoke and immediately comes out with the comments about the current situation.

If he's going to ban Baggers by insulting him with copy and paste allegations, then equally Mick and Radio Stoke should banned for telling the truth.
