a bit of the PNE 2-2 draw with 10 men spirit wouldn't go amiss this saturday.

Was it Duffy sent off early doors against a team 2nd in the League, i came away feeling proud to be Vale fan that night, they gave their all ( Duffy excepted ) and defied the odds.

Have this lot got it in them ?

 

Duffy made one of the best saves I've ever seen at Vale Park that night.

Millwall in the main have been beating lower L1 teams and losing or drawing against better teams.

They've only scored nine goals in the last ten games, so I fancy that Vale should clinch this one if they perform as they did prior to the Coventry shambles.

God knows what team we'll put out. Completely lost track with whose fit and who isn't.

That XI wouldn't cope in the league below. The six forward players collectively are simply not good enough.

Injuries have decimated our last two months and seriously hampered our ability to win games.

I'd feel optimistic if we had our first XI out but with that type of team we'll do well to avoid a heavy defeat.

Brown sounded as if he wasn't expecting many to be fit by Saturday but we desperately need one or two back as a matter of urgency. It'll be too late by the time they are fit. But what can you do about it?

You are absolving the key person of responsibility there REP. I was at Coventry too, and I left blaming only 1 person.

All these injuries are not a coincidence, dramatically changing a training regime clearly wasn't the way to go mid-season.

I thought he was as bad as everyone else first half and much improved second half, he won his fair share in the 2nd half but they were still going to them because there was no one supporting him.

 

I do agree he is not a lone striker, but certainly don't think he is in anyway to blame for the defeat. What on earth was Brown thinking playing hoof ball to him in the first place? Everyone knows it's not his game so why are we doing it time after time?

I've said it before and I'll say it one last time, that was probably the worst performance by a vale number 9 in living memory. I'd actually rather play Danny Glover (ex player or the one from lethal weapon, it doesn't matter)

R u sure of that id day he was hung drawn and quartered on tues ,he hasnt been anywhere near the first team for weeks and only played 45 mins in a reserve game v Burton ,yet he was thrown in last minute and we supposedly hit long balls up to him when i didnt realise his strength was in the air .

Why would Brown leave him on if he was that bad bring Bikey on and shove streeteup front etc .

But they have to start together for that happen and play the ball on the floor thats where these two up front will flourish and with a passionate small but up for it home crowd the three points will remain in Boslem .
