Vale lost 6 games in a row when Adams resigned, saying later he was 'bored' with being manager at Vale Park. I liked Adams, but this was near unforgiveable as a remark.

 

It may have been unforgivable for you but for me and many other Valiants I will remember the way he held the club together through admin and players not getting paid. I will never forget the way he got Vale playing for the first half of that promotion season, JMW and Vincent down the wings, Pope smashing it in from all over. I think I can forgive his honesty about being bored managing Vale after he won us our first promotion for nearly 2 decades.

 

I am surprised some peoples skin just doesn't wash away in the rain it's so thin. Like a silver rizla wrapped around you.

You got that all wrong. I still think MA was probably second only to Rudgie as a great Vale manager, and always supported him and appreciated his style of play, especially when some on here attacked him.

But, honesty or not, to say that just after you have left is really showing a lotof contempt for the club and its' fans. He wore his heart on his sleeve, and I loved that, but it really was a very unfoirtunate thing to say - unless of course his job was being made more difficult by someone above him. He managed to work with controversial directors before, but....

We're running out of time if we're thinking of appointing an external candidate.

 

You'd want the new man to have a bit of time to assess his squad and do some business in the transfer market. After Saturday's game we'll already be halfway through the window pretty much.
