To be fair Dave, they had a man prepared to throw millions at it.

We have a man who allegedly puts 80k a month in and asks us to all bow down to his generosity.

How exactly? That's the same attitude that lumped us with Page's dirge. Brown is a shoddy, easy, unambitious option.

 

Brown hasn't done anything except be a player and bit part coach. Let's face it, if he wasn't good enough in June then he's not now because he will have learnt the square root of **** all from Bruno and Smith.

GIVE BROWN A CHANCE, he hasn't been in post a week yet and already the detractors are at it.It's pointless signing players who aren't going to improve the squad and he's got the rest of the month to achieve his aims so give the man a break,i'd sooner have Browny than another reject manager and there are a few of them about who've been blown out by their clubs.Can't see much point in chasing after someone who's been sacked as incompetent,Browns had a good start without having a chance to re organise the team so he's got a few days to put some of his ideas into practise.UTV.

In all seriousness, good post. The opening thread to this is ridiculous. It's typical of Vale fans and typical of this website.

 

I'm fully behind Michael Brown and I trust Smurthwaite to do what's right by Vale even if he makes a mistake or two along the way.

 

We go in to the Huddersfield game thinking anything could happen, and anything really has happened for us at that stadium in the past. Happy hunting ground. FA cup comeback 2008. Winning 4-0 and the **** getting relegated in 1998. What a day that was!

That's not my job- that's up to the chairman dependent on budget but ideally JFH (who I refuse to believe is out of our reach financially). Only a deluded happy clapper would be satisfied with taking the cheap, convenient option AGAIN, only for it to go wrong AGAIN. **** that
