This might not be to popular but when we are talking contracts maybe we should look at extending Page's one? he has a season left,now yes he makes mistakes but since last season he has improved our defence and our home form is the best since Rudgie was here,so next season he will hopefully improve in the goals department and our away form...it all takes time and he is a young manager who is still learning and is doing a decent job imo,i have no doubt that if he still only has a 12mth deal to run then he WILL get poached by another club

Nucleus of a promotion team, with a striker to be added in close season and squad to be reduced to 18, ignoring the current turmoil and assuming we can keep hold of Page.

Yeah looks like it may have deflected of his thigh/stomach, harsh on Dicko though as it was heading in. Good corner routine though considering our lack of goals or efforts when we just stick the cross straight in.

Bring in loan players as required, quality not quantity with a realistic budget next season.

Loan players aren't always available, particularly quality ones, meaning we'd need to sometimes rely onwhatever was available. We'd need 3 keepers anyway and most teams have 4. We need a squad that can gel and get to know each other not 18 players with strangers coming and going.

 

People say that we have a huge squad this season but if you take out the first year professionals and perhaps a couple of others, we've needed pretty much everyone. It's be great to just have quality and not quantity but in football nowadays, you need both.

Although our last 5 have seen 2 wins 2 draws and 1 defeat

We currently have 9 players out on loan so what's the problem with a smaller squad.

Pointless keeping the youngsters because Page won't give them a chance.

Quality not quantity.

Just hope we don't lose our best players with Norman saying they will get 30 to 40% pay cut leaving us with this seasons bench warmers.
