I didn't go tonight cus my wife at work so got my boy but I went Doncaster and Wigan last week, Doncaster only cost me ticket money and petrol cus drove on my own but Wigan went on train early and had beers there so cost more like £100, so u spend last week on supporting the Vale?

 

But the £100 you spent on the Wigan game does not benfit the club financially.

All you've done is put money into the coffers of a team who already has much more than the vale with the parachute payments.

If you go an away match your giving a vocal and physical support for the players, but you can't say you've contributed more to the club than someone who only attends home matches.

The money you spend on an away day is your choice and can't be used to brow beat someone who attends home matches and financially contributes to the running of the team.

It makes me feel like tearing my hair out when I hear people say they only go to away matches then moan their balls off how we can't buy the players we need.

Awful performance by Vale again and 3 points by pure luck rather than judgment, things have got to improve on the pitch cus with 3000 in the ground to watch utter dross on a cold night we ain't going far.

 

Not a great performance but we should have won 3-0 as well as Dodds hitting the inside of the post. For all Swindon's possession I can hardly recall them mustering a worthwhile effort. Can't understand why it's necessary to start criticising the team. I thought they gave everything.

Rigid? The only rigidity was how bored I was.

Playing for a draw from 65 minutes. Hardly a shot on goal. Any chance to do something in the box wasted. Look totally clueless going forward.

Robinson didn't win a header all game. Doesn't look anything special. Hopefully just not fit. Hooper did more when he was on.

 

Kennedy has a trick and works hard. No end product and dead on his feet by 60 mins. Corners are decent.

They had lots of pretty triangles with the ball. We created much the better chances. A deserved win from an indifferent performance where two new lads got good game time under their belts and Inness got 90 minutes. Grant was different class, btw.

If they had abit more luck they cud have had 4 or 5, I will take the 3 points and all teams have to win ugly sometimes but u can't expect to put bums on seats with performances like that surely?

 

Where you actually there? They never really threatened. We had far more opportunities despite the perceived lack of possession.

Just trying to figure why the gates are so low as home form is the best we have had since nearly missing out in the play offs 2004. We were getting more at home the last 2 years, the price remains the same as it was back then, I don't buy into the argument about gates been down because Stoke in the premier league, they been there for 8 years now, we are a good 600 - 800 a game down on what we should be.

 

Is it the negative tactics from Page that is keeping people away, I know we got the 3 points today but it was boring to watch, after the goal we played like we were the away team and the chances in the second half came when we broke on them.

We should have won 3,4,5 nil. Played well defensively restricting them to a small number of chances with two banks of 4. After we scored early we seemed set up to counter attack for most of the game. Even though Swindon had a lot of possession we had more and better chances. I don't know how Dicko hit the keeper from two yards out with half the goal in front of him completely empty. And some attacks players made the wrong choices or the new players are still getting up to speed or they were decent at tackling on the ground. Overall Swindon sent out a team with too many small players and that is why we saw them off in both boxes. Overall we got the job done and need to continue to push.

Swindon had plenty of possession but we had the chances. Stats won't show it but we were well worth the win, Alnwick could have sat on a chair for most of the game. Still plenty of moaners on the radio after. Unbelievable.
