I thought we played well, they had loads of the ball but did nothing with it, I think Jak had 1 notable save to make and that wasn't a tough one.

 

If our decision making was better in the box Kennedy x2 and Kelly x1, dodds great shot and dicko's unreal miss from almost the goal line.... Oh and a blatant handball in the box, the game should have been out of sight!!!! Not to mention JJ's Chance towards the end - he should have scored! We played to contain them and did an excellent job of it.

 

Why people say we played poor is beyond me, what game were you watching?!?! Got watch Man U and their fans will tell you we don't want all the ball, we'll just take 3 points please.

 

3 positive subs today as well. Happy days, don't care if we've played 1/2 games more than those around us... 1 point off the play offs and a massive home game Sunday!

 

The only down side to the night was the Crowd?!?! Very poor! But I'd expect 7k+ on Sunday.

I didn't go tonight cus my wife at work so got my boy but I went Doncaster and Wigan last week, Doncaster only cost me ticket money and petrol cus drove on my own but Wigan went on train early and had beers there so cost more like £100, so u spend last week on supporting the Vale?

Only 3100 there cus there is no entertainment in Vale matches, yes by some miracle we have scraped a win but Swindon dominated and made us look like a bunch of little boys, are attendances will only fall from here.

 

So what your saying is if we had lost 5 or 6 home games this season and we were sitting just above the bottom four but playing attractive attacking football we would be getting bigger gates on a Tuesday night ? Doubt it somehow.

They didn't scan any season tickets in the Bycars, didn't even look at the card, could have shown any card and got in.

Again I've been to a different game to some on here. Thought we played ok tonight and with a bit of luck (Dodds's stunning effort hitting the post) or the right final ball we'd have got the second goal that would have killed it. Swindon passed the ball ok but Alnwick had very little to do. Innis's height and aggression makes a difference at the back but my MoM was Grant who was outstanding tonight.

 

What he said , if we had passed better there were 3 or 4 occasions when we should have scored, Grant defo MOM.

Stats don't always win games, Leicester 36%, Corners 3-12, but shots on target 6-2, and it always helps to have Vardy playing. It is only goals that count. Not that I ever watch them except against the Vale.

Fully agree with your comments. Alnwick didn't make a save and with a bit more professionalism with the final ball, we'd have won two or three, maybe more.

Well I thought we were very organised ,disciplined and decent tonight .

Alnwick had nowt do that to me says we played very well .

Ok Swindon passed the ball well but never once did they bother our goal ,pot shots from 25 /30 yards would have to be worldies.

We should have scored more a corner hit Dicko and really he should have had two there ,then 3 on 1 on three occasions I can think of but delayed passes and docileness cost us chance extend the lead.

I enjoyed some aspects of the performance, yeah we can do better but come on we ain't got millions ,but we got heart and spirit and we were excellent in all what u expect from our team .

Possession doesn't mean 3 points but it does make the fans following the team that hasn't touched the ball in the last 5 minutes wish they had saved the money and stayed home.
