Lots of decent under 21 players at premier league clubs out there who would not be on much money, look at the 3 lads that Coventry signed on loan in the summer, Jacob Murphy, Adam Armstrong and Rhys Kent who has just been recalled by Liverpool, by all accounts they have been their 3 stand out players.

 

Swindon last year got to the play offs mainly down to a load of good young players from premier league clubs. It is something I don't feel we have used that well over the years, Ryan Innis aside, although saying that when we do sign them, we don't always play them.

Yeah that is true to be fair. Rob page always seems to pick his best mates all the time. What does Hooper have to do to start a game is unbelievable?.

 

I haven't seen anywhere enough of Hooper to make a considered judgement; that's why Vale has a team manager who does that for them. If you want an unconsidered judgement though - and only based on the few minutes he was on against Bury - he doesn't look that mobile.

Oshea and loft certainly aren't and Andrew plays most his games out wide.

We should be going after someone like Patrick Bamford, or similar quality, whose loan deal at CP has ended. Would create interest at Vale Park and he has been loaned out to a Lge 1 club before.

That was 3 years ago when he was about 18 or 19, he go to a bottom half premiership or top 6 team in the championship, he will be on a fair wage. There are players out there who we have not heard of however who could do a good job who won't be on much money.

Patrick bamford? Come off it! He won player of the season in the championship last year and with sides like Swansea after him I really don't think vale have a shot :laugh:

Aim high, have some ambition, he can only say no, you never know what might happen, would imagine he desperately wants to play rather than sit on the bench/be a squad player for Swansea. The last thing I wanna see is another prospect sitting on the bench, it doesn't do Vale or "The prospect" any good.
