My only concern....chance to get in playoffs, playing best most exciting football I havr seen in 20yrs, buzz building around the place cue a bumper crowd with the stay aways and a vale flop...hope this team proves me very wrong and past trends are just that in the past but the sceptic in me and experience following vale knows it's never that easy lol be happy with a draw and 4pts from these 2 fixtures

4 points was a reasonable expectation on Friday, but with 3pts in the bag I am now hoping for 6, as you say let us hope we are putting the past behind us.

That's always my fear. Experience tells us that we generally burst the bubble once optimism builds. Let's hope this team is from a different stock.

Expectations rise after every game the way we are playing at present, and why not, in comparison from this time last season.

Long may it continue, however both feet on the ground its a marathon not a sprint and its early days yet, it just goes to show that the right results /performances breeds confidence within the club and you can see / sense that from the players.

Boy I'm loving the footy UTV in more than 30 yrs

What a joy to see Norman yesterday dancing and singing in his box high above us. His face was an absolute picture!

More of the same please Vale on Tuesday night to make the League sit up and take note of our rise and improvement.

Maybe some will expect too much but boy oh boy are we now cooking on gas!

Come on Vale keep this team spirit going and chase down every ball. We can equal anything thrown at us now. 3 points will cement a truly brilliant start to this season.

The good thing with Smurf is that if we can get into the play off spots i am certain he would do what it takes to cement our place in there

Oddly, for the stage of the season, I think this has become quite a big game for us.

A win sees us 6th at worst. That would surely see a good following (1000+) make the shortish trip to Bury.

Momentum can be a big thing in football. How nice would it be to see us go on a little run and fuel a bit of early season optimism?

I agree and had the game against Millwall gone ahead last week and we'd won it I think that yesterdays attendance would have had a significant boost. We could possibly be in a false league position hopefully readdressed after Tuesday night.
