Big loss but it gives veseli and Robertson the chance they've been waiting for especially Robertson who I still think is a pretty decent defender, also a huge threat at the other end. Personally I'd go with Robbo as he will win headers and attack the ball, veseli and Duffy may be too similar. Should have kept zubar as this could have always potentially happened.

He is their player they can do what they want! How are they in the wrong? They want cover and he is obviously the best they have available.

This is the risk we take with loan players. Since Streete signed that extension, Newcastle have had injuries to two central defenders, one in training on Friday and one at West Brom on Sunday. They have two out on loan, one of which, Lascelles at Forest, can't be recalled because of the terms of his loan. The other central defender they have who is in the first team squad is Curtis Good who's been injured for ages.

 

I assume Vale agreed to the 24 hour recall in the loan - Smurf reckoned him and Page were happy with the details. This is pants but it's not really anyone's fault other than Taylor and Coloccini for getting injured!

Very annoyed to hear the Yatesy interview on radio Stoke talking about the possibility of playing at left back.

 

NO! Stick to giving Veseli and Robertson a go. Isn't CB where Veseli played for Bury? And I don't see why Robertson should be frozen out, yet Dickinson is considered for the CB position? We should try a different combination anyway - it's not like we kept a clean sheet, we let 4 in for goodness sake.

 

Our defence has been a calamity all season so although it would have been better to have Streete at the weekend our goals against tally probably won't be much different.

Really? The people are nice enough but the city is the real pits. Dirty, oppressive and rough - give me Manchester or even Stoke any day of the week.
