You're wasting your time Johnny, there's nobody at home. It's beyond me that some people can't see that if we keep letting in a million extra people every four years, sooner or later the **** will hit the fan.The migrants coming in now are probably in their 20's or 30's and create money and taxes, but what happens when they become older and need care and attention.Another 10million residents by the year 2050?Good luck with that?

Haha!!! "There's nobody home" - couldn't agree more!!

It shows how desperate people are that there only retort to this article is "well the stats are wrong, they've been manipulated, i'm too clever for this newspaper, they're lying to us lalalala can't hear you"

If Farage had published some statistic that migrants take £20 billion from the UK economy you'd all be lapping it up, never questioning whether the stats had been manipulated.

Who knows how accurate these figures are but they suggest that immigration from outside the EEA is a costly burden to the UK which supports the need for selective, controlled immigration from countries outside the EEA. It's one thing for a future government to implement such a policy but a different matter to enforce it. If Britain is to remain in the EU then it should allow EU nationals unrestricted access to its shores.

Interesting to note that the two main authors of the UCL report are a German native and the other an Italian native, hence they may not be totally unbiased.

European migrants are more highly educated than the UK-born workforce? That's a pretty damning conclusion.

In which case its great to have such quality moving over to the UK driving us forwards.

In return I worked in Europe for 10 months last year and as a thanks for all the Aussies we receive they sent me and Aussie Rules over here!

Thailand obviously don't supply much quality as they got Geo in return for all the great minds they sent to the UK! :( ;)

That doesn't stop Nazi Nigel being biased as his wife is German though! Apparently no one else could do here job, more like no-one else wants to be in danger of touching him! ;)

Interesting how this report comes just 2 weeks before a vital by-election and 6 months before a general election

Would 3 weeks and 7 months be less interesting?

Amazing how figures can be manipulated to suit the occasion, particularly as the figures don't take into account the period from November 2011 until present when immigration apparently has seen a huge increase....

So you belive the figures re Nov 2011 'til present? But as figures can be manipulated to suit the occasion why trust them?

And the report does not take into account the negative effect on overcrowded schools, lack of housing, overstretched hospitals, oversubscribed dentists, and the list goes on.....

We know that

The immigrants that come here and get a job and pay into the system I have no problem with but it is the hundreds of thousands who come here as economic migrants and just want all they can get for nothing that are the problem and it's time the government got to grips with it and sorted it out once and for all, never mind what Merkel says.

Agreed..although whether the stats on the numbers who do that can be belibed surely has to be considered?

If i went to work in Europe, i would have to give up my rented home and finance one elsewhere

Would you?

, when the work finished would i get benefits in a EU country straight away and some where to live dont think so.

Having worked in the country you are in you probably would qualify for benefits

Coming back would wipe out any advantage of going abroad.

So why would you do it?

Farage always has and always been full of ****. He'll be back to number one excuse why the dregs of British society haven't got a job- "it's because of immigration"because the truth "you're lazy, work shy losers, happy to sponge of the state" is not too voter friendly.

This obviously does not mean everyone currently out of work, that'd be ridiculous but the Jeremy Kyle generation has a lot to answer for

We already have that..but it needs to go further

Unbiased in what way? In favour of the EU? In favour of immigration? In favour of immigrants coming to the UK and not Italy nor Germany? In favour of UCL?

Anyone with half a brain knows that's a (remote) possibility  After giving this serious thiought, given the checks and balances that an organisation such as this would have in place I doubt that any bias of a couple of individuals would be allowed to have much impact..their credibility as an organisation is too precious.
