I remember the Brit..if i was on my way to Tunstall for a night out (which wan't often) used to pop in there..and the Goose..is that still there?

 

Tunstall had some fine pubs..a relative used to run one..Cheshire Cheese I think it was called, somehwere oppoist wherer Kwik Save used to be I think..but that was many many years ago..I was never old enough to go in when he was running it

 

The Goose is being refurbished,into what I don't know?

I genuinely think the biggest losses are pubs- far too many have gone to the wall of late. I've never really been one for just going to the boozer and chatting with whoever's there but I appreciate that's what a lot of people do. We live in a very strange culture of making your own little space nicer and disregarding the communities in which we live.

Can't recall that name but I know the Club I knew was a den of iniquity! Several know criminals and in those days druggies frequented it and police had a field day as they knew where to find any "wrongdoers." Great music in there though and I recall several bands appearing and much dancing(of a kind) going on.
